We are excited to introduce Seesmic Profiles, starting with Seesmic Web.

Here’s how to create and use your new Seesmic Profile.

• If you are an existing userlog-in with your registered credentials, then re-authorize access to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. You do not need to re-authorize your other accounts.

• If you are a new Seesmic user, you be asked to create a new account to use Seesmic Profiles. Sign-up, then check your email for a confirmation link. Once you're logged in, add the social networks that matter to you.
Seesmic Profiles sign up

After signing in, you access your dashboard. You can view all of your social accounts and the Seesmic apps that you are using. Please note that for the moment, Seesmic Profiles is only active on Seesmic Web.

There are some great new changes worth noting with this Seesmic Profiles update:

* All of the accounts that you see on your dashboard will be accessible in Seesmic Web.

* Seesmic Web is only the first step of Seesmic Profiles. Our other products will follow soon.

* Access your Dashboard by clicking on your email address in the upper right hand corner.

* The settings are now a pop-up where you can access, add and manage your accounts. This will sync automatically with your dashboard.

* You can configure your timeline refresh rate, Klout settings, and add your bit.ly account in Settings.

o Remember timeline position when new tweets load (accessible in Settings)
o Search by Twitter Username or tweets (accessible when using the search bar)
o Block User (accessible in Profile Pop-Up)
o Chrome users can activate pop-up notifications when you first sign in to Seesmic Web. You can also activate them and/or disactivate them in
your Chrome settings. (Go to the Chrome settings > Under the Hood > click on the Content Settings button and scroll down to Notifications.)

KNOWN ISSUES:

Scheduled Updates:
Unfortunately, posts that were scheduled during our maintenance (between 8/16 1am PT and 8/17 5:30am PT) were not posted, as we decided not to flood your streams and confuse our users. Posts that were scheduled after the maintenance should be working properly.
404 Error:
With our new changes, you might get a page saying 404 Error Not Found. If you are experiencing this, make sure to clear out the browser cache. It should work fine. If not, make sure to submit us a ticket here with details about your browser and version.

LinkedIn:

For some users, your LinkedIn feed in Seesmic Web may not work. Our team is aware of it and is working on a fix.

We sincerely apologize about the inconvenience and advise you to stay tuned for more updates on Seesmic Profiles!

Team Seesmic

UPDATE: Our team are looking into the reported issues with the new re-oauthentication changes and we'll be sure to let you know when this is fully resolved. For now, a workaround to getting Seesmic web working is to simply log out and back into your Seesmic web account and this should prompt you to Re-Oauth your Twitter accounts. Please also try to clear your browser cache, cookies, and browsing history if you do not see any changes after logging out/into Seesmic Web.

Other users have also reported that they resolved this issue by logging into Twitter separately (http://twitter.com/) and then Re-OAuthenticated their account(s)

Thanks for your patience and support!

With the new Twitter OAuthentication changes, we've made just a slight update in Seesmic Web to accommodate these changes.

Next time you login to Seesmic Web, you will be prompted to reconnect your Twitter account(s) with your Seesmic Account. Press the 'Go to settings and manage my account' button to proceed

Once you are at your Accounts page, please proceed to click on the 'Re-oauth' link next to your Twitter account(s) to ensure that these accounts are Re-Authenticated and will be working properly in Seesmic Web.

You'll see Twitter's Re-Oauthentication page each time you want to Re-Oauth your Twitter accounts. Please enter the correct Twitter credentials for each account(s).

That's it! If you experience any issues with this update please let us know by sending us a help tix here and someone from our support team will be sure to follow up as soon as we can!

Thanks for all your support!
