Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-generic

Version of Ubuntu: 8.10
Version of kernel: 2.6.27.7.11

The sound on AAO don't work good with Ubuntu 8.10 (please look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne ). This patch fix the kernel (alsa driver) add support for the sound card.

I try with skype 2.0.0.72 (static alsa) and work the microphone, both internal and external.

The patch is for the version 2.6.28 of the kernel (now is included in the git of kernel) but work with the version 2.6.27. I don't know the bug number.

I close the bug because the alphas of ubuntu 9.04 support the HDA of AAO and it seems that nobody wants to solve the bug for Intrepid.
