Linux User Groups are an immensely valuable resource for all Linux users, both novices and experienced users alike. They offer the opportunity to get together with other users in your area and exchange information and tips on how to get the most from your Linux systems and offer a social aspect as well (many's a LUG meeting takes place in a local pub where the beer flows freely during and after a meeting).

If you cannot find details here of a LUG that is local to you why not consider starting one. You'll usually find that there are people who would be interested in your area - they may just be waiting for you to take the initiative.
