Why is theHTPC.net here?

It’s quite simple, really.  I was bored and had already had a web hosting account.  I didn’t have a domain for myself, so I created one – theHTPC.net.

theHTPC.net was intended to be a personal private site, documenting my successes and failures in beginning an HTPC-centralized home theater network.  Shortly afterwards I decided to share my experiences.

There is no real direction for theHTPC.net, it is just my view on things as I fall through the technology universe.  As time has progressed, I have found there are thousands that have enjoyed reading about my adventures, so I’m just trying to keep up.  HTPCs encompass many different aspects of technology and, being a geek, there is never a shortage of interest.

That being said, theHTPC.net was born.
