Lechuguilla Cave

Long thought to be an insignificant, smallish cave near the famous Carlsbad Caverns, Lechuguilla Cave is now recognized as the deepest limestone cave in the US and the world's fifth longest cave. $6 Trillion of Fake US Bonds Seized

Italian authorities have foiled a plot that, they say, had the potential to destabilize the international credit system. After an investigation into mafia loan-sharking tipped them off, Italian investigators turned their attention to a fake bond scheme that led to the seizure of approximately $6 trillion worth of fake US Treasury bonds and other securities. The bonds were recovered in Zurich, Switzerland, where scammers apparently planned to use them to defraud Swiss banks. Race Car Driver Dale Earnhardt Dies in Daytona 500 Crash (2001)

Earnhardt was a seven-time champion and one of NASCAR's most successful drivers when he was killed at the 2001 Daytona 500 race.
