For those of you with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or the Nokia N97, you’re obviously upset at the lack of Nokia Internet Radio, which allows you to stream, well, internet radio stations. It’s clear that you’re so upset because, like me, you’re all huge fans of SomaFM, specifically their Secret Agent and Groove Salad stations. Not to worry, because the helpful folks at SomaFM are on the job, and have made it easy to tune in to your favorite stations.
For starters, you can check out the full directory of awesome SomaFM stations on their website. Once you’ve chosen the station you want, simply open your web browser, and type it in like this: http://somafm.com/stationname48.ram. For instance, to listen to Groove Salad, you would enter: http://somafm.com/groovesalad48.ram. Once you click OK, the browser will open the station in the onboard RealPlayer (see, that thing is good for something, after all!), and begin playing. To save the station, simply press the ‘Back’ button, and you’ll be asked if you wish to save the station. Click yes, and save it wherever you want.

Here’s a handy list of available stations:
http://somafm.com/groovesalad48.ram
http://somafm.com/illstreet48.ram
http://somafm.com/indiepop48.ram
http://somafm.com/secretagent48.ram
http://somafm.com/spacestation48.ram
Now, the next time you open the RealPlayer application, click on ‘Streaming Links’, and your phone will automatically search for any that you have saved. Highlight the one you want and press ‘Play’. It’s like magic. The SomaFM team is also working out a way so that their website will automatically detect the 5800 XpressMusic and N97, to eliminate the need for you to manually enter the address, which will make it even easier.

SomaFM internet radio stations are free, but thanks to the thugs at the RIAA, they need donations to stay afloat. If you enjoy any of their stations, be sure to donate a little something to help them out.
