These are the slides from my presentation at the Art Institute of Washington DC’s “Pizza With the Pros” event. I gave a talk to a group of web design and related media arts majors geared towards advice that will help a student get ahead in the business. I welcome feedback and additional tips if you have them. I definitely don’t mean this to be comprehensive, and I myself debated a lot about what could fit into the presentation. As it was, I ended up with an hour’s worth of talk when I really wanted 30 minutes plus change. It was fun to present at AiW, and I was pleased to see such engaged students.
