Ensign app review

Here we have is an Ensign magazine reader app, to be honest it's pretty good. It has pretty good features such as:

-Bump
-iPod
-Redeem coupon

And more...

Library

The library is very efficient, letting you see all the Ensign issues and the issues you have downloaded, the only thing I really don't like is; having to pay £0.69 each issue, but the issue that is on the month you are viewing the app, that months issue is free, it should be free to download, otherwise there just making money, which i don't think it's good for the church.

Search

Plain and simple really, just a search bar to search your issues which i think is a bit odd when the library is really quick and easy enough to use

More

The is also a more tab which let's you choose extra options,
-redeem coupon, where you can redeem codes to get discount prices on Ensign magazine issues.
-Bump, a bit of a waste of space really; why use bump when you can just search or browse the library in seconds, I quess it's just to make it look a little prettier and to make it have more content.
-iPod, pretty cool feature where you can listen to your music while using the app, a good feature to use when you are not so determined to read the Ensign, but not so good as it puts you of from pondering the words of it.

In conclusion I think this app is pretty good, plain, quick and simple.. Not something that I'd use everyday but nice and handy for talks and so on..

Scripture mastery app review

The Scripture Mastery application has three exercises that you can use to help you master the scriptures.

Memorize - A fun and easy exercise to help you memorize the scripture mastery scriptures.
Flashcards - Flashcards to practice and reinforce what you have learned.
Quiz - A quiz to test your knowledge of what you have memorized.

Memorize

Start by selecting a scripture you want to memorize. Once you have selected the scripture you can use the controls at the bottom of the screen to help you memorize it.

The Pluse and Minus buttons increase or descrease the difficulty level. The higher the difficulty level, the more words that are hidden. The lower the difficulty level the fewer words that are hidden.

The "Hide / Show" buton will toggle between hiding some of the words based upon the currently set difficulty level and showing all of the words.

The "Randomize" button in the top right of the screen will change the words that are hidden for the currently selected difficulty level.

Flashcards

You can select groups of flashcards to practice with. Select the book you want to study and the number of flashcards you want to work on. These can be sets of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25.

Check the “check mark” if you got it right, or the “x” if you got it wrong. The app will give you the option at the end to retest yourself on the ones you missed. If you click “tap to peek” you will see the answer to the flashcard. If you want to see the full reference instead of the key word “hint,” click “scripture.”

Once you have completed your set of flashcards, you will be able to review the ones you missed.

Quiz

As with the flashcard tool, you can toggle between seeing key words only or the full text of the scripture by touching “Scripture” or “Hint.”

For every question there will be four references. Select the reference that goes along with the key words/full scripture that is displayed. The more questions you get right, the more points you get!

The app also has a high-scores tab where you can view your past records and scores to compete with friends.

In a whole the whole app is great, it helps with memorising the scripture mastery and improving your scripture knowledge.

Lesson 1: Moses

First entry: Lesson 1
Moses learnt god was eternal, that endless was his name. He has no beginning or end, Moses Is a son of god, his words will never cease. Nobody can see god in a normal state and still live. God gave work to Moses.

God told Moses there is only one god, and that is heavenly father. God showed Moses the beginning and end of the world, also the children of the earth. He leant men useless without god, I think Moses would have felt overwhelming happiness because god had just taught Moses his heavenly status, also of everyone. He would have been overwhelmed to of spoken with heavenly father, he would of felt sad when god had left him because he would of realised the meaning of everything; of what's important and true, I would of felt overwhelmingly happy because I had been taught by the one and only heavenly father, his plan of what happened in the past and what is in store for the future.

B1. Moses knew it wasn't god because, he could see him in his natural state and that wouldn't be able to happen because that would be impossible! He must of had great faith and knowledge to distinguish the difference between god and satan.
