Plasma is the logical choice for the best 3D HDTV viewing quality. This is based primarily upon the fact that the response time for a plasma display panel is an order of magnitude faster (1,000 times) than an LCD. Plasma displays also have a sub-field action which pulses individual pixel cells during each frame (600Hz) smoothing on-screen motion. What 3D content there is currently available is doubly demanding on HDTV performance as it largely combines 3D imagery with fast action (motion).
