Sony Ericsson P990i SIM Free / Unlocked Mobile Phone

Great handset, good camera & battery is fine, Sony Ericsson always have good batteries. More importantly, full email access & web on the move & the hand writing recognition is great, first phone I have had were it recognises my handwriting straight away, so much quicker....I just traded in my E61 for the P990i...was by far the cheapest!!

Well, after my previous rubbish nokia and the increasing pressures of uni life, i needed a phone which could help all aspects of my now hectic lifestyle. Enter the p990i It has everything one could want in a phone. great battery,FM RADIO, touch screen, blackberry,push email, a geat camera and video player, great games for times of boredom, a music creator, an innovative scroller wheel on the side, and the usb connection for the PC. i apologise now for anything else i have missed out. This phone keeps me well organised an on track of any other engagements i do have, since i am not your typical run of the day uni student but one who has much to do and many people to see. it has that WOW factor about it. and appearance is very sleek and the flip down QWERTY keyboard is quite a gd bonus as well.

You can't beat this for the money - £500 when these first came out. Does everything you want. Highly recomended +++++++

Bought this to replace my ancient but still functioning P800 in the anticiptaion that it would work in the same efficient way but IF YOU USE A MAC IT IS UTTERLY USELESS AS A PDA. Sony Ericsson only produce software compitible with PCs and you cannot use ISync on a Mac with this phone and there is no indication of when an upgrade will allow this. This means you cannot, for example, synchronise contacts between phone and mac. Shame as it is a very nice piece of kit but I wouldnt recommend it to mac users and I hope this review saves some others from the aggro I have had - and this information is not obvious from the spec produced by SE and you have to go on to the Apple website to find out whether a phone is compatible with ISync. Otherwise nice phone but battery levels drop like a stone with bluetooth and wireless enabled.

Right I Was Really Excited When I Saw This Phone As An Upgrade For My Contract So I Had To Have It Because I Loved The P900. But This Phone Caused Me Nothing But Grief. Its Not A Good PDA And Its An Even Worse Phone. Its Got Lots Of Potiential And After A Few Sony Ericsson Updates It Might Be A Great Phone But At The Minute Its Naff. The Phones Features It Self Are Brilliant And It Has Got A Huge Screen Like A PDA But Most Of The Time You End Up Getting Application Errors When Your Using It. It Seems Alot Bigger In Size Aswell Compared To My Older p900 Which Was A Big Phone. The Only Thing That I Loved About This Phone Was The Keypad. When You Was In A Rush You Could use The Top Pad And Text Really Quick. Then When Feeling In A Geeky Mood You Could Flip It Down And Have A Full QWERTY Keyboard And Being A Geek Myself I Had Great Fun Touch Typing With One Hand. But Serously Dont Buy This If Your Looking For A New PDA And Dont Buy It If Your Looking For A New Phone. The Nokia's N Series… more »
