In 2005, I invented Pacemaker® and founded Tonium later that year. In 2008, following the launch of our product and expansion strategies, I stepped down from my position as CEO.
Due to the global economy crisis, new and disruptive music services (including mobile platforms and music streaming services), the management team went through a tumultuous time. Unfortunately, Tonium ceased its operations in June 2011.
As we celebrate the dawn of 2012 it is of great joy that today I announce that 100 Milligrams, my new company, has reacquired the rights to Pacemaker®. It is now back where it belongs, in the hands of its original founders. Taking part in this venture is Daniel Wallner, co-founder of Tonium and the engineering genius behind Pacemaker®. We also have a fresh face and third member to our core team, Olof Berglof, an innovative designer and marketeer.
Our mission is to reinvent Pacemaker® to a world where mobile is premier. We see this as both a great challenge and an exciting opportunity and we are now working day and night to make this happen.
During the process we will also help users with their Pacemaker® Device on the Pacemaker User Forum, managed and created by true Pacemaker® Device enthusiasts. Additionally, check out and like our Facebook page, to get updates on our re-launch. When it comes to Pacemaker® Device hardware problems, we will try to be as helpful as we can by providing component information, schematics etc. Unfortunately we cannot promise that we will release new firmware versions, as we do not have the necessary manpower. However, we will in time make sure the auto upgrade from Pacemaker® Editor is working and the GPL source code from Pacemaker® Device is available on SourceForge.
Please check back for news and tweet me with any questions or ideas.
All the best,
Jonas Norberg @jonorberg
