I felt Lancome was a little late to the Spring party with the release of their Roseraie des Delices collection but their collection is a clear and pretty tribute to Spring – bright greens and pinks are the order of the day, with sheer pink and peach lips and a pretty blush.

I took a gander down to the Lancome counter to take a look and at the same time, experience something new at the Lancome counters – a personalised hands on makeup step by step lesson by the Lancome makeup artists. If you want to pick up some tips on makeup, keep a lookout for these counter parties, which will be held from time to time. I’ve got some quick deets here

Mascara that promises that your lashes will look like falsies. Yeah right!! There is a reason ads for mascara are photoshopped to within an inch of their lives. Its so we’d believe the claims that a mere mascara can make you look like you’re wearing va-va-voom false lashes.

This photo however, is not photoshopped – it is also because this isn’t an ad, but that’s my eye and my lashes. Lashes, which in a normal circumstance as you will see below, are non-existent. I must say, that the Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express mascara does leave me suitably impressed, because I’ve been using it everyday for almost 3 weeks now! Usually, if it doesn’t do anything for me or irritates my eyes, I bin it after a few days.

We haven’t had a spa review on here in a while, I’ve noticed. I have been frequenting my regular spots and haven’t been trying many new places. But I recently did – the Zen Soul Spa at Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.

I came across this one during their Christmas and New Year promo and sharing with a friend, went with a Buy 2 Free 1 package. I think it ended up being RM80 or so for a 90 minute aromatherapy massage. The spa is located in a row of shop lots in Desa Sri Hartamas and my visit was not without its hiccups.
My first appointment was messed up so when I arrived, I was told that it was not possible for me to have my massage then as they had other customers. After a bit of ding-donging back and forth, I eventually got my time slot a couple of weeks later and turned up for my massage. So, is this a place I’d like to return? Let’s take a look

Dior has a set of 4 new eyeshadow palettes – the New Look eyeshadow palettes which are a variation on the 5 Couleur eyeshadow palettes with cannage imprint. Dior has decided to go back to its fashion roots for inspiration and each of the 4 palettes are based on colours drawn from Christian Dior’s 1947 New Look collection.

I will show you the others later – but I just had to show you this one – 834 Rose Porcelaine because it is the palette I was the most uncertain about. In the stock photos, you see a warmed toned pink palette of eyeshadows that just make me think “Uhoh! Pink-eyed bunny alert!” In real life, I thought it was less so. In fact, the pink is pale with cool tones and I just had to have a dig in, because I like a challenge.
I usually fear pink eyeshadow like the plague, but what I did not expect was to actually like this palette!
