Yay, its the day of love when everyone gets lovey-dovey and goes all out romantic and mushy. The day when one can excuse the overload of hearts and chocholate – actually, you have to coz you couldnt escape it even if you wanted to. Even my classic rock channel is playing all classic love songs!! And these are the songs they play during winding down, in the evening.
For me, just like every Valentine’s Day that I can remember – it has been just like any other ordinary day except that I get an extra gift aside from me birthday and Christmas, and our wedding anniversary of course. We’ve never been one to make a big deal out of it after all, why should one be filled with love and emotion only today when it should be everyday right? But that said, I have nothing against Valentine’s Day though. Really.
This Valentine’s Day present from Ted is excellent!! I’m so loving it!!

Yes, believe it or not, while loads of women out there are getting jewellery, chocs and flowers – I got me one of these babies!! And I honestly with all my heart, would have definitely preferred to have gotten these than any of the above! ^.^
I was surprised at how many of my girlfriends on FB were all oooohh-ing and aahhh-ing in jealousy of this gift. Have the times changed? lol I should also mention that these are women who are married with kids!!
So I now have a complete workout set : Wii Zumba AND Wii Fit Plus. If these 2 giants do not help me in losing at least 2 dress sizes, I might as well just jump off the bridge. I hope it’s not too much to ask. I had initially aimed to lose 10kg but sis thought I was being too ambitious! lol She knows me better.
For me, as long as I can go back to my pre-preggers weight – I would consider it a personal success. So size 14….I hope to see you soon!
So what’s the Wii update with me? I faithfully Zumba-ed for 1 day….
It left me with achy muscles I never knew I even had! >.< But it did certainly feel good to move about and the music is definite helping with wanting to move as well. I thought I could still move the way I used to when I used to go clubbing. Apparently I am oh so very wrong!!
Totally karat (rusty)!!!! >.< Sadly, I have not kept Zumba-ing which is VERY VERY bad on my part. I should keep to it and I think I might definitely try and do it with the kids around so they can follow too. But I shy la! LOL Feel so stupid doing it in front of my kids even though they are just kids. *sigh* But I MUST DO IT!!!
We are officially Wii crazy. Actually, Ted is.
The very next day after we set up the Wii, Ted decided that we needed more games and an additional handset and numchuck. So off we went to Kmart to get some stuff.
While Wii Sports and MarioKart seem fairly interesting, I couldnt see myself playing hours on end as how many people are able to and I’m glad that I’m not that into computer games. I think its a benefit on my behalf!! Anyway, since I wasnt into games, I was hoping to find that something that is up my alley and me found it – Wii Zumba!!

Yup, mine comes with a special belt to where the handset can sit.
And because Ted was in a decadent mood, he caved in and got his ON SALE Inflatable Kart for Wii Racing games.

See, how spoilt my kids are??
So far, I’ve Zumba-ed twice. I am having issues trying to figure out the best time to Zumba and I’ve failed!
But on the brighter side – the Zumba instructors are CUTE!!!!
**Sorry, a bit late but one has 15 days of celebrating so what is 1 day late right? :P**

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my Chinese friends!
This year being the (water) dragon year….actually means nothing to me.
I dont really read about what the dragon year holds for me as a horse (according to the Chinese zodiac) because I think that would be somewhat similar to fortune telling which I am not a believer of. That said, what I do look forward to (as I did when 2012 really happened on 1/1/2012) is that I take on more challenges be it where sewing/knitting is concerned, definitely tackle this whole car license issue (yet again – it was my 2010 resolution to actually GET a license then) and if I did, I’d have my full license by now!! *slaps forehead*
I am also looking forward to Mum coming out here at the end of Feb to celebrate her sister’s birthday which happens to fall on 29/2 – leap year baby!
So, all in all….I do hope that 2012 will be better than 2011 – I do foresee some major decisions that has to be made and I’m just hoping that whatever the outcome may be, it will be for the best.
Once, again….HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR, WISHING YOU HEALTH, WEALTH & PROSPERITY!

Meet my Wii family.
Yes, apparently we are the proud new owners of a Mario Kart Wii Bundle that came with Wii Sports. ^.^ It was as a total surprise to me, more so when you’re not expecting anything. So shocked was I that I was rendered speechless. Lol And it is not often that I am speechless. Ted was really antsy about this parcel and he refused to tell me what it was. Such a cute fella he is!! He did tell me that it was partly mine and I just couldnt figure out what it could possibly be!
While I find that I am not too into Mario (never was to begin with), I am really enjoying the Wii Sport especially Boxing. Man, I think I’ll be having some muscles on me by the time I’m done with it. lol I think it’s an excellent way to release some stress too. (Bash! Bash! Bash! Whack! Whack! Whack!) Needless to say that I now have my eyes on getting a Wii Fit but a friend told me that Wii Active is better if one is more serious about exercising and all. But Zumba is apparently the best – and if I could get it, I would! All that dancing….sure sounds fun to me!
Anyhoo, Ted’s going down to the shops later to get anothe handset and find out more about Wii Fit/Active and get some new games too. What can I say, the man is mad! lol Now that I think about it, aside from FB, we now have Wii….with my sewing and knitting AND household chores (What housework??), 24 hours a day really doesnt seem enough at all!!! >.<</p>
It was certainly a somewhat sad day for us when we finally took the plunge and got rid of our Yamaha organ that was sitting in the corner for years. She served us very well and was with me as I took many music exams and was there when I had to practice for mass.
The girls has a final play with her before she was taken down.

They certainly had fun….

Perhaps like me, music runs in their blood too?
So after they had they play, Uncle Raju came and helped us out.

When we lifted her off the floor, the bottom just fell out!! By the time we got her out the door, this was what it looked like. (Uncle Raju had a good hack at her first though – had to break her down into bits and pieces).
Yes, she was rotting in the corner coz of the time our water tank overflowed and we were away hence, the water seeped in and flooded the floor near the organ. Since then, we had not moved her at all.
Now all that is left is an empty space….

Mum isnt thinking of getting a new organ coz no one is home to play it but if she does, I reckon I’ll ask her to get a yamaha dgx 640. It’s not an organ but a piano, and I’ve always been facinated by the piano more than the organ. And I’d like the girls to take that up instead of the organ so time to look for piano classes for Arianna!
