Bruce Tholenaer, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the age of 51 years.
Bruce was born and raised in Calgary. Bruce loved Celtic music and had just returned home from a ten day trip to Cape Breton’s Celtic Colors with his buddy Ron. Bruce was happiest when he was tinkering around in his garage with his friends and a bottle of Alexander Keith’s.
He will be missed greatly by his loving wife of 30 years Delee and by his precious daughters, Amy (Donny) McDuff and April (Jon Moyen) and granddaughter Kiely, who was his pride and joy. He is also survived by his mom Johanna, brother Mike (Veronica), sisters Brenda (Jamie) Scott, Janine, Carolyn, brother Gerald and many nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his father and grandparents.

With Family by his side, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Hassib Saliba, on Saturday, October 31, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Hassib was born in Ain Arab, Lebanon on January 7, 1935 and immigrated to Canada in 1957, to later marry his wife Nouhad in 1961. Hassib spent 40 years as a pipefitter working for Canadian Pacific Railway. In his spare time, and throughout retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, barbequing, babysitting his grandchildren, spending time in his garage and hunting. He will be missed by many and will always be remembered for his big moustache and even bigger heart.
Besides his loving wife, Nouhad, Hassib is survived by his son’s and daughters-in-law; Louie (Maryana), Wade (Tammy), George (Anna), John (Laura) and Val; twelve grandchildren; sisters Adibe, Hanni, Soumaya, Adibe and brothers Sajih, George and Adib. Hassib was predeceased by his son Mike, and sisters Mary and Shakeeba.

Edward Karol Engel beloved husband of Linda Engel (nee Ohlson) of Calgary, formerly of Montreal and Laval West, QC, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the age of 80 years at the Rockyview General Hospital, due to complications from Alzheimer’s.
He was a member of the Canadian National Railway (Transportation Department) for 39 years.
Besides his loving wife Linda, Edward is survived by his children, Cindy (Kevin) Cyr, Richard “Rick†(Natalie); and grandchildren, Jenelle and Alanis Cyr, and Emma and Ethan Engel. He was predeceased by his first wife Doreen McCaffery.

Robert “Bob†George Lipsey loved and treasured husband and soul mate of Catherine (Cathy) of Calgary, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the age of 59 years after a short, courageous battle with cancer.
Bob was the proud president and general manager for Trans Am Piping Products.

With great sadness we announce the passing of George Scott at the age of 77.
Born in Port Arthur, Ontario, George was predeceased by parents David and Christina, and is survived by brother Robert (Estelle) and sister Janice Zabroski (Bob). He was married to Rae for 53 years. They had four children – Sue (Jamie), Christina, Cathy (Gord) and Becky (Leo) – and grandchildren Nosipho, Ali, Ben, Gareth, Ailsa, and Erin. A chemical engineer (Queens), he worked for Dow Chemical before retiring in 1989. A unique individual, George was unconventional, witty and pragmatic. He developed an intense passion for running in his 40′s, becoming an accomplished 10K runner and marathoner. He found great joy competing until his late 60′s, when myelo-dysplasia intervened. George was a voracious reader, lover of the outdoors, baker, traveller.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the exceptional medical staff at Foothills Hospital, and to recognize the anonymous blood donors who sustained him in recent years.

Edna Schreiber, beloved wife of Brian McNamara for 27 years, and cherished mother to Reid McNamara for 16 years, passed peacefully away on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the age of 53 years after a five year battle with Multi Myeloma cancer.
She was born in Edmonton, AB and raised on the family farm close to Dapp, Edna took on every challenge with energy, drive and commitment. She graduated from NAIT in 1976 and pursued a successful career in computer systems development until she moved to the Middle East country of Yemen with Brian and Reid. For three years Edna flourished into a woman of the world with great sensitivity to those less fortunate and she reached out to them through charity work, love and compassion. During the past five years, Edna and Brian were business partners in a sign manufacturing company. This was also the time that she fought for her life and twice triumphed over insurmountable odds to lead a life rich in family, friends, work and travel. Edna never gave up the fight and continued to help family and friends to the very end.
Besides her loving husband and son, she is survived by her parents, Karl and Enid Schreiber of Westlock, her sister Konnie Kepford and her two sons Cole and Aden of Calgary plus many relatives and dear friends throughout the world.

Caterina Loria, beloved wife of Antonio of Calgary, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the age of 77 years.
Caterina was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. She immigrated to Calgary in 1953 and dedicated her life to her family. Caterina was a loving, caring mother and nonna.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Darren at the tender age of 20 years.
Darren was born in Strathmore. He lived in Bassano and Siksika. Since the age of 7 years he resided at his current residence at Hidden Valley Golf Resort on the Siksika Nation. He graduated from Bassano High School in 2008. His favourite past time was hanging out with his brother and friends who shared his many talents such as hockey, golf, card games, watching movies and playing his favourite game, X box NHL. Darren was known for his infections laugh and as an avid Sports enthusiast. Darren had strong traditional family values and work ethic, through his culture identity he listened to Pow Wow music especially to the Black Lodge Drum Group from the Blackfeet Nation, Montana. He balanced his life with family, friends, and work. At the time of his passing he was working Security at Hidden Valley Golf Resort.
He leaves to mourn his parents; Stewart and Shawn Own Chief who are so grateful for the gift of his life from Dora Running Rabbit; his sisters, Lynsey Own Chief (Marty), Sharmain and Sara his precious and cherished niece Teagyn; brothers; Niall, Cameron, Owen, Wyndall, Jack, Tillson and Daniel; girlfriend, Sarah Bertrand; grandparents; Floyd and Mavis Running Rabbit; numerous great uncles and great aunts, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends.

It is with great sadness the family of Blaine Klement announces his passing at the age of 46, after a lengthy illness.
Blaine will be forever loved and missed by his beloved wife Christy.
