Arnold L. Winston of Calgary passed away peacefully on Monday, May 30, 2005 at the age of 71 years.
Arnold was born to Dolly and the late Benjamin Winston on June 4, 1933 in Winnipeg, MB. He resided in Winnipeg until 1953, and then moved to Calgary where he met and then married Miriam Switzer on December 25, 1953. While living in Calgary, Arnold worked as a successful realtor for many years. In 1986, Arnold and Miriam relocated to British Columbia to be near the ocean and to fulfil Arnold’s dream of becoming a charter fishing guide. During recent years, Arnold and Miriam supported each other through a number of medical challenges with unfaltering love and respect for one another.
Arnold was the proud father of Brenda Winston, Barbara Mindell, Brent Winston (Colleen), Belinda Meller, Bruce Winston (Patti), and Mary Kostashuk; and much loved Zaida to Vaughn and Jeremy Collins, Kyle Meller and Saralyn Winston. He was predeceased by his father Benjamin, his sister Phyllis and his brother Jack. Arnold will be sadly missed by his sisters Bernice Fogel, Sheila Mamott (Dan) and Elaine Yukelis (Mark).
Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel (1702 17 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Internment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Jack, cherished husband and friend of Megan, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2005.
Jack was born on November 5, 1928 in Brandon, MB, and was raised there and in Winnipeg. He worked for many years in the general insurance business, both in Winnipeg and Calgary.
Jack was a kind and gentle man, who delighted in helping others. He was an active volunteer at Southwood United Church, at the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank, and at the Canadian Cancer Society.
The last years of Jack’s life were marked by suffering, both from cardiac illness and prostate cancer. He bore this suffering with cheerfulness and determination, always putting other’s cares before his own. Everyone who knew Jack will miss his quiet grace.
Jack is mourned by Megan, his beloved wife of fourty-two years; his two sons, David and his wife Estelle and their children, Sebastien, Julia and William of Gatineau, QC, and Alex, his wife Aga and their son James of Calgary. Jack was predeceased by his parents James and Ruth; and by his brothers Bill and Pete.

David Leonard (Len) Tilley, beloved husband of Polly of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2005 at the age of 80 years.
Len was born in Lethbridge, AB on April 5, 1925. He served in the R.C.A.F. as a Navigator and spent many years in the Oil & Gas industry. Len had a great love and passion for hockey; as well as music, curling, and golf. He was a member in the active twenty-thirty club. Len was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Besides his loving wife Polly, Len is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Kevin Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; two stepsons, Walter Holden of Calgary and Roy and Pam Holden of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren, Tiffanie, Robyn, Joseph, Morgan, Sean and Glenn; three step-grandchildren, Alexis, Cody, and Jessica; and his sister Phyllis of Ontario. Len was predeceased by his first wife Jean.

Bernice, beloved wife of forty-nine years of Carl, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 28, 2005 after a lengthy illness at the age of 68 years.
Bernice was born in Trail, BC on January 23, 1937. She married Carl in 1957 and together they lived in various places in Western Canada and have resided in Calgary for the past thirty-four years and recently moved to Cochrane.
Besides her loving husband Carl, Bernice is also survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Leigh Stone, Karen and Tom Molnar, all of Adelaide, Australia, and Joanne Sikina-Lee and Thomas Lee of Calgary; six granddaughters, Rachael, Erin, Demi, Logan, Carly, and Morgan; sister Irene Dacen-Johnsen and Steve Dacen of Calgary; and nieces Diana, Sharon and families. Bernice was predeceased by her parents Peggy Banica and Torbjorn Johnsen.

Robert (Bob) Moser, beloved husband of Elizabeth of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 27, 2005 at the age of 57 years.
Bob was born in Leader, SK on July 9, 1947 and was raised in Brock, SK. His career was spent in the Oil and Gas industry, with the last five years pursuing his own business Woodbine Consulting and Maintenance Ltd. Bob’s time at home was spent with his family and loving dog D.J. Besides his wife Elizabeth, Bob is remembered by his daughter Joanna, his son Duane and Duane’s girlfriend Kelly Grayton. He is also survived by his mother Margaret Moser, his mother-in-law Peggy Marles, his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Audrey Moser and Wayne and Janet Moser, his sister and brother-in-law Donna and Barry Gray; as well as one niece and four nephews. He was predeceased by his father Edwin Moser.

Afonso was born on May 5, 1921 in Cazevel Baixo Alentejo, Portugal.

Charles Michael (Mickey) Dunn, beloved husband of Margaret (Peggy) of Millarville, passed away at the Oil Fields General Hospital, Black Diamond AB on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the age of 82 years.
Charlie was born on February 22, 1923 in Saskatoon, SK. He resided in Drumheller from 1923 to 1939 and then moved to Winnipeg where he attended St. Paul’s College. Charlie joined the R.C.A.F. in 1943 and was honourably released and transferred to the reserve in 1946. On December 26, 1951 he married Peggy McKenzie and they moved to Calgary. In 1961 Charlie joined the Finance Department with the City of Calgary and was employed there until his retirement in 1986. In 1976 his life long dream to live in the country was fulfilled when he and Peggy moved to an acreage near Millarville. Besides his loving wife, Charlie is survived by his adoring daughter Barbara of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and her husband Beatrice and Ken Swinford, his niece Bonnie (David) Hegge, all of Calgary. He is also remembered by numerous other relatives and friends.

Ian Hay of Calgary passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the age of 75 years.
Ian was born on October 23, 1929 in Sedgewick, AB. In 1952 he married Jean and worked for Western Supplies in Calgary, Edmonton and in Regina until he returned to Calgary in 1968 before retiring in 1978. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed being with his family. Ian is survived by his two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stuart Hay and Victoria McCarthy of Millarville and Kim Hay of Edmonton. His grandchildren, Erin, Kevin and Shannon Hay, Michelle (Colin) Havereon and Ellisha and Shannon Roche. Ian is also survived by his sister Shirley Leacock of Calgary and his sister-in-law Barbara Hay of Calgary as well as his special friend Elizabeth Siddall of Millarville. Ian was predeceased by his wife Jean in 1999, his daughter-in-law Stephanie in 1998, his grandson Jason Roche and his brother Lindsay Hay.

Angela Jade Lee-Wing, beloved and cherished daughter of Amanda and Joshua of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2005 at the age of 7 weeks.
Angela’s nickname was “Angel-A” meaning Angel with an attitude because of her fight to the end. Even at her early age she enjoyed her Jacuzzi baths and was already training to be a boxer by throwing punches at her caregivers and doing push-up’s in her crib. She especially loved her cuddles with her parents.
Besides her loving parents, Angela is remembered by her grandparents, Maria and Boston Lee-Wing; grandmother Judy Epp; great-grandparents, Chan-Pow Lee-Wing, Helen Penner, and Helen and DeWaine Irwin; as well as numerous loving extended family. Angela was predeceased by her grandfather Randy Irwin.

Ottilie Laudel (Tillie) of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2005 at the age of 101 years.
After an eventful life in Poland, Tillie and her family immigrated to Canada in 1954. She lived a wonderful happy life here in Canada with her loving family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Tillie will be missed by her children and their spouses, Gerry and Gerda Laudel, Karl Laudel and Anne and Bob Griffith. Her eight grandchildren, Mike (Lauraine), Fred (Sharon), Evelyn (Don), Tim, Beverly (Dave), Roland (Robin), Patricia (Steve), and Pamela ( Kevin) will greatly miss their loving grandmother. Tillie will also be sadly missed by her eleven great-grandchildren, Garrett, Kyle, Cayley, Christopher, Ross, Krista, Connor, Maxine, Bridget, Rowan and Marina and her twelfth great-grandchild who is on the way. Tillie was predeceased by her husband Gustav in 1985.
