Greetings!
If you like Celtic songs, Renaissance festivals, science fiction conventions, comedy, cats, or podcasts, or if you just like good food, good drink, and good company, then you’re in the right place.
I share interesting news about my music, new bands that I find, videos, my latest podcasts, tools and resources, and anything else I think will draw you closer to your own Celtic heritage (whether you’re a Celt or not).
About The Celtfather:
That’s me! I’m an an acoustic Celtic folk musician with a twisted sense of humor. My songs may not all sound “Celtic”, but they are based firmly in the tradition… even the ones about cats, hobbits or Firefly.
My unique sound is due in large part to my instrument of choice, the autoharp. It allows me to focus on entertaining people while still allowing me to compose lush soundscapes.
I’m a huge fan and promoter of all things “Celtic”. My dedication to indie Celtic music earned me the nickname “The Celtfather”. I host several podcasts including: Renaissance Festival Podcast, Pub Songs Podcast, and Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. That last one won two awards for “Best Podsafe Music” in the annual Podcast Awards and is one of the most-popular music podcasts on iTunes.
If you enjoy Celtic music, talk to me. I’d love to geek out on it with you.
Here are other places where you can find me:
And be sure to share your Celtic music news.
Slainte!

Don’t Go Drinking With Hobbits Is Now On Sale
There you are at the Sign of the Prancing Pony in Bree, when you hear the sounds of rollicking song inside. You push open the heavy oak door to see small hobbits dancing on the bar, spilling beer and singing at the top of their lungs.
Little did you know that there are scores of great hobbit drinking songs. Marc Gunn, The Celtfather, met up with Daisy Brambleburr of Bindbale Wood (aka Rie Sheridan Rose) in Hobbiton to discuss and share the drinking songs of the hobbits. He came back with a plethora of great songs and tunes to share in his newest album, Don’t Go Drinking With Hobbits.
Firefly Drinking Songs Can Be Yours… Shiny!
Join the Bedlam Bards and Marc Gunn as we celebrate our love of Joss Whedon’s Firefly and Serenity. Imagine your in a subterranean pub on Canton. It’s muddy and humid. The smell of too many people and alcohol waft through the air. Off in a corner, you hear the call, “Jayne… the man they call Jayne…!” You raise up your pint of mudder’s milk and join in joyful song.
You can now live that experience when order a copy of Firefly Drinking Songs.
