Rich LaBarca's Summary
I have had a diverse leadership career moving from academic research, to bootstrapping startups, to the creation and management of multi-million dollar product lines.
I started my career focused on computer assisted surgery, leading the development of orthopedic surgical software systems through research, development and clinical trials. They helped form the basis of new surgical techniques and improved the outcome of joint replacement.
Transitioning into the software startup world, I designed and led the development of an AI-based platform for mobile gaming and a platform for targeted mobile advertising. With Clearspring, I designed and developed their mobile widget platform, and led the development of their audience targeting platform.
I am now leading Clearspring's efforts in the evolving ecosystem of audience targeting and ad exchanges. It's a dynamic and challenging space, with both integration and practical data mining challenges that require an agile but thoughtful approach to engineering, process and strategy.
If you're interested in behavioral advertising, exchanges, using data for personalization and would like to work with us, drop me a line!
