"Glorious" is about the best word I could come up with for this. Well produced, great playing, it's just some excellent piratey rock. This is some seriously fun stuff.

Never heard this band before, but they're excellent. Good tight punk/new-wave music with high energy and memorable lyrics. It's also very catchy! My favourite track on first listen would be "No One's Illegal"

'Primitive Minimal Music Vol.II', is a five track, Instrumental Minimal-Easy Listening Pop album.

Sometimes the use of certain Musical Classifications are "Tossed" about rather causally and if One is not careful-- a disservice may be done to an Artist. I am speaking of the Use of the Word "Primitive"....New Comers or Individuals not astute, Musically Speaking, might assume the Context means the Music, is Uncouth, Uncivilized, Savage, or Lacking Sophistication and so forth. In the Instance of this Collection ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED ARE FALSE AND GROSSLY INCORRECT!

Musically, the Songs are indeed Minimal, depending on the song, no more than 3 or 4 Total Instruments are heard. More strikingly, a Single Instrument becomes a Duo of Two Instruments but in the most sparse fashion. Even Percussion is not immune for example, Percussive Elements are reduced to a Single Drum or Cymbal Ting and etc. This also holds true for Synth replicated, Brass or Sax and/or Keyboard Voices.

The Melodies are very Strong but Simple without a lot of Ornamentation. Sometimes there is only a Melody and others a Basic Harmony accompaniment. Likewise, the Primitive Character speaks to very Basic Nature of the Song's Arrangement, Orchestration and Manner of Performance.

Track #1, 'Homecoming', Begins the Album on a "Sturdy" and Melodic Note with a Tri-Tone, of Bass Synth, Brass-esque Synth and Percussion Tings. The Song is Dynamic in an Understated and Low Key Fashion. It also sets the Pace for its companion Tracks.

As the saying goes, "Less is More" and this Album prove it. :D

Simply moving . . . such waves of beauty overwhelmed me as I first listened
and nothing else could touch me . . .
I was captivated by the emotion of the piano . . .
and the tears shone like dewdrops on the rose
as she dances in the breezes of midnight . .
the stars sprinkle her with a tender glow . .
and somewhere a bird rustles in her sleep,
her heart is calmed and comforted . . .

hush . . . as I listen and as I dream,
as I dance with the lovely rose of midnight . . .
my senses are full of perfumed incense . .
and colored with wistful memories
of love
and beauty . . . peace . . warmth . . .
I feel as light as the gentle breeze,
diaphanous and celestial . .
and nothing shall ever hurt me here . . .
as I listen to the glorious sounds
of this music . . . flowing from the heart

Artistic and profound . . this album has inspired me through several days. It is quite unique and inventive, showing a deep mind and an adept hand at putting sounds together to create a mood and filling in the dark places with visions and dreams.

I cannot pretend to understand music, completely . . especially such complex compositions . . . but listening to much of this, and
I felt as if I were in the exact center of the universe . ..
with all the cosmos revolving around me . . .
within my grasp and view . ..
all that it contains . . .
within its complexity lies a simplicity . . .
full of light and darkness . . .
sound and silence . . .
a flow of mesmerizing vistas
and viable with moving shadows . . .
something within the soul of the music,
arising . . . being filled with life . ..
beckoning me to follow
to fall into the grays and golds of
an endless chasm,
an eternity . .

'Wild', is an 11 track, Instrumental, Techno-Pop, Easy Listening album.

This is NOT "Your Daddy's Techno-Pop Collection"! :D Quite seriously, the Fantastically( and I am using this word in the Fantastical Context)Clever Synth Melodies are Combined with EZL Style of Play( Not Hyper Dance or Electronic. In a Word the Selections are overwhelmingly Playful and Original Works that Blend Elements as Diverse as Typewriter Sound Effects with Techno Synth and Anachronistic Imagining of the Meeting of Cultures who never knew of the Existence of each other.

Instrumentally, Acoustic Strings, Piano, Synth Keyboard and All manner of Percussive Elements abound. In this Collection's case it is not WHAT Instruments are used(or replicated) but HOW and this is what Sets the Album apart from its Peers.

In No Particular Order--just Great Tracks to that make a Good Introduction to the Songs.

Track #10.'Herbs&Spices', is a Sensual String Delight with a Slightly Egyptian-Arabian Middle East Sounding Melody and Digital Percussion. It is a Night Wind in the Desert Delight!!

Track #4. 'Leone', is ALL Mystical Magic! Mix Acoustic Guitar with an Eerie Whistle and Synth Harp and Result is a Spectacularly, Weirdly, Wonderful and Lest I forget--Beautiful Song. A Strong Drum Cadence will make Listener's Feet Tap while trying to Discern Exactly the Phantasmagorical Song is... :D

Track #3. 'Mayas VS Egyptians', is, perhaps, the most "Typically" Techno Dance/Soundtrack of the Album. A very Familiar Egyptian Melody performed on Crystal Strings is weaved in and out of a Techno-Rock( Some Listeners may hear a slight similarity with the Music from the First, Blade( 1998) Movie Soundtrack) Mix of Power Synth and Percussion.

Overall--It's Fun. It's Clever. It's Original. Listen for yourself. ;-)

Ciao, Delfo
