Everybody has had a celebrity crush at one time or another, but not everybody was as publicly humiliated over theirs as Chris Pine was. He told the story on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (Weeknights, 12 a.m. Est on ABC) of his obsession with the feature film version of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." As such, Kristy Swanson was his girl.
So, at 12 years old, Pine sent a letter into a magazine naively asking if they could give him her number. Of course, they couldn't, but what they did do was publish his letter with his name and everything in the magazine. This is utterly mortifying for a pre-teen a week before his first day in junior high school.
Jimmy Kimmel had Swanson's phone number, so he went ahead and called her. She was at that point completely unaware of the childhood crush Pine had had on her. So he was delighted to »

It was time again for Shonda Rhimes' two hit shows to crossover, as well as two siblings who haven't always gotten along: Amelia Shepherd and her brother Derek. As Derek stars on "Grey's Anatomy" (Thu., 9 p.m. Est On ABC), while Amelia is on "Private Practice" (Thu., 10 p.m. Est On ABC), anytime these siblings get together, it's technically a crossover. But this time, the stakes couldn't have been higher.
This time, they need to put aside their differences and come together to save a life that probably means more to fans of "Practice" than "Grey's." After all, it's the mother of Cooper's child, Erica, who's basically lying at death's door with a brain tumor. To make matters worse, the procedure they need to perform has never been done before, and it needs to be done within a 90 second window or it will essentially leave her brain dead. So »

Joan Rivers had a Whitney Houston joke loaded in the comedy cannon for her E! series "Fashion Police," but she told Andy Cohen they did pull it on "Watch What Happens: Live" (Weeknights, 11 p.m. Est on Bravo).
"Once somebody's dead [we pull it]," she said, "That's why I won't do a Betty White joke, because I'm so scared." So maybe the hint is to find out who Rivers isn't making jokes about to get an idea of who she thinks may pass away soon.
Kate Moss is apparently healthy enough that Joan Rivers had no problem sharing an embarrassing story about her. Or maybe it wouldn't be embarrassing for Ms. Moss. "I was in a restaurant with two gay friends," Rivers said. "Allegedly she, as a friendly gesture, grabbed my friend's penis and just held onto it."
Later, when playing Cohen's "Plead the Fifth" question game, Rivers was asked which comedian has never made her laugh. »

The Simpsons will reach the 500-episode mark this Sunday, a feat unmatched by any other sitcom (animated or not). There have been many guest stars over the last 23 seasons and the 500th episode, "At Long Last Leave," will be no exception: The show will welcome WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to Springfield. In true Assange fashion, his lines were recorded over a secret phone line while he was under house arrest, presumably hidden deep inside the Earth.s core (citation needed). It's yet to be determined whether or not Episode 500 will go down in the books as one of the show's best, but... More >> »

The Secret Circle 1.15 Review: Papa, Can You Hear Me?
Pulling off a reveal can be a tricky thing for a series like The Secret Circle to do. If you put in a certain amount of time into gathering information on something vital, there'll be innate tension that arises the closer you come to an answer. It can get you more into the narrative by having progress to track and speculation to make as to the direction things are going. However, having all that time to speculate could lead the actual reveal to be a bit of a letdown. The more something is poked, prodded, and built up, the more expectations it has to live up to and if your mental picture of events doesn't quite match the actual event in the show, you can't help but feel a little deflated.

When last we saw Dave, played with awkward charm by Louis C.K., he was the sweet and slightly uncomfortable police officer she was dating. But then he want to California and apparently went a little crazy without her. This week, he returned to "Parks & Recreation" (Thu., 8:30 p.m. Est on NBC) where he not only ran into a woman he still loves, but her new boyfriend.
To say that Dave didn't handle this very well would be an understatement. He was never comfortable doing the faux interview segments on-camera, but he was even worse this time around. The more flustered he got, the more he seemed to be making up words. Add to that Ben's admitted fear of policemen, and it was just to baskets of awkward fighting over Leslie.

For once, the Braxton clan got together to share some good news on "Braxton Family Values" (Thu., 9 p.m. Est on We). Evelyn gathered all of her daughters around the table, and got her son on the phone, so she could share her big news. The mood was already light when Toni arrived late, and got a theme song performance from the other girls.
So it was in this joyous and happy atmosphere that Evelyn said, "Doc has asked me to marry him and I have accepted."
After a momentary shock across the room, the girls erupted with enthusiasm and approval. "Are you ready for marriage?" Toni asked her, but Evelyn's response said it all.
"At my age?" she joked.
The wedding is scheduled for sometime in 2012, though reports are unclear as to when that is. The family and network do a pretty good job of keeping these big events out of the media spotlight, »

On Wednesday night, when viewers turned on Comedy Central expecting to settle in for a new episode of Stephen Colbert's fake news hour "The Colbert Report," they were met with a surprising rerun. Audience members were turned away from the taping, told that the show was on hold due to "unforseen circumstances."
Speculation ran rampant, particularly given the fact that "The Daily Show," "The Colbert Report's" companion series, was similarly put on hold as the result of a staff member's death. Our readers speculated that the series may have been shut down for "political reasons."
A source tells WSJ that the production halt is due to a Colbert family emergency. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will air repeat episodes on Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16," Comedy Central spokesman Steve Albani said in a statement. Word is that Colbert is tending to his ailing 91-year-old mother.

Amy Farrah Fowler has made it very clear how fond she is of Penny on "The Big Bang Theory" (Thu., 8 p.m. Est on CBS). She has declared them best friends, heaps uncomfortable amounts of praise upon her at any given moment, and even goes so far as to declare her essentially perfect. She also apparently is blissfully confident that Penny feels much the same way.
So when she dropped $3,000 on a special gift for the two of them, there was no reason for her to think Penny might be made just a bit uncomfortable by it. Maybe she wouldn't have been were the portrait of the two of them just a smidge less creepy. Or, as Bernadette pointed out, had Penny not looked like a transvestite man. Even in the picture she looked a little uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, it was enormous, meaning it would dominate the entire apartment. »

Thursday night's cruel, two-hour episode of "American Idol" continued to prolong the agony challenge the contestants, shuttling the Hollywood Week survivors off to Las Vegas for another round of group numbers. Thankfully, all the outbreak monkeys who were contaminating the other contestants in Los Angeles had obviously been culled from the herd by the time they reached Vegas, so disease and dehydration weren't running rampant through the halls any longer. That's not to say that everyone had miraculously learned how to stay in key following their ordeal in Hollywood -- there were still plenty of mediocre performances in store.
I'm mostly just baffled that the "Idol" producers got away with stretching out the drama this long; we saw solo cuts, group cuts and another round of solo cuts in Hollywood, followed by Day 1 group cuts, Day 2 group cuts, and another round of Day 1 group cuts in Thursday's episode. Were the »

Oh, Elizabeth Lemon. Don’t you worry. You’re not the only one following the rules of being a human being. But since I live in New York City, too, I totally feel your pain. And perhaps NYC is overrated. During last night’s “The Tuxedo Begins,” Jack and Liz were debating this very issue. Liz was irritated that everyone around her seemed to be incapable of following the simple rules of living. (You let the people out of the subway car before you enter. Come on!)

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Episode 7 of Lifetime's "Project Runway All Stars."
There are only seven designers left on "Project Runway All Stars" and the pressure is building ... or at least they keep telling us that.
This week's episode begins with Jerell's deep thoughts about Rami's elimination the week before (or for him probably the night before): "The fact that he's gone is a bit of a game changer," says Jerell, who quickly recovers. "Can't be mad at that because eventually they all have to go, so I can get my check." Always with the sass, that guy.
The designers meet their lovely host Angela Lindvall at Circle in the Square theater, which Austin describes as representing "the pulse of New York in Times Square." Sure. If you think the city's biggest tourist trap is its heart and soul then Time Square is definitely it. »

Jessica Sanchez, 16, appeared on the first season of America’s Got Talent when she was just 11. These crazy kids!

After the last "Parks and Recreation" two weeks ago, a lot of the chatter about the episode went something like this: "Tom and Ann? Really?" "Dave's Return" probably didn't do a lot to dispel the skepticism -- but we're not joining in, because we're kind of liking the comedy so far.
We'll circle back to that in a minute, because two characters made their return to "Parks and Rec" Thursday (Feb. 16). Louis C.K.'s Dave Sanderson gets top billing, but we were almost as excited to see Duke Silver again.
Ben's awkwardness around police officers is pretty well-established, so the fact that a dinner with him, Leslie and Dave would turn out to be cover-your-eyes funny wasn't unexpected (however, seeing Adam Scott's various tics and shakes every time a cop walked past was brilliant). What was, though, was how nutty Dave himself would act around Ben.
