Comedy Central has not elaborated upon the cause for the sudden suspension, nor addressed a Wall Street Journal report that there had been an “emergency in Mr. Colbert’s family.”

So True? So False? Jennifer Aniston Removed Bare-Breasts Scene in Wanderlust for Justin Theroux?!

1 hour ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Why would she do that to us?! Ok, before we get a little annoyed that there might have been an opportunity to see Jennifer Aniston's breasts in Wanderlust, let's discuss what's been floating around the interwebs. Rumor has it the actress pulled a frontal topless scene from the flick and asked if it could be replaced with a less racy version in respect to her boyfriend, Justin Theroux. What a lucky guy, eh? But before we give her too many brownie points for being a pretty awesome Gf, we should tell you that this story is... So false! A rep for the movie confirmed to E! News that this is not true. Moreover, Aniston's publicist, Stephen Huvane, denied that Jen »

Pick only one favorite 'Simpsons' quote? That's unpossible!

2 hours ago | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Okay, so yesterday's post in which I challenged everyone to name their favorite episode of "The Simpsons" — and only one episode, with no lists, no runners-up or other equivocating — drew a lot of interest. And with the 500th episode airing tomorrow, I'm going to make it even tougher on you guys with today's challenge:  Pick your favorite quote from "The Simpsons."  Again, pick only one. Yes, only one. It can be the quote you find the funniest, a quote that touches you (several of the people who cited "Lisa's Substitute" yesterday cited Mr. Bergstrom's note to Lisa as the reason why), »

Week in Review: Whitney Houston Remembered, Adele's Grammy Triumph & Chris Brown Controversy

2 hours ago | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

The week started off with the unbelievable—the death of Whitney Houston—and...well, it's still pretty unbelievable. Events big and small, from the 2012 Grammys on Sunday to the NAACP Image Awards last night, occurred in the shadow of what happened to Whitney and the sudden absence it left in the music world. Though her career had waned over the last decade, her tunes from as far back as 1985 can make even the most lead-footed curmudgeon get up and dance. Or, in the case of her biggest hits from The Bodyguard—slow-dance. Here's a rundown of the week's news: Speechless: What else can be said right now about the death of Whitney Houston at the tragically young age of 48? »

No thanks for the memories…?

On this week’s episode of Fox’s Fringe, coming off of that sudden smooch over vino and aromatic Damiano’s take-out, Olivia went on to reveal to Peter that she “remembered” everything, from the John Scott case that led her to Walter (and thus Peter) to Peter entering The Machine, and everything in between.

Peter, though — ever the ethical soldier (and one with stupendous willpower, damn, boy!) — did his best to keep “his” Olivia at arm’s length. But at the »

Michael Fassbender's next film could be Irish Myths

Michael Fassbender, it's fair to say, has had a pretty decent 12 months. After a strong 2011 (including his blockbuster breakout, X-Men: First Class), Fassbender's 2012 has kicked off with tremendously varied style, with Haywire, Shame and A Dangerous Method all impressing. And that's before Prometheus has even come out. And it doesn't look like the actor is resting on his laurels, as he's already lining up another project in the form of Irish Myths. The script is currently being written by Ronan Bennett (Public Enemies), and will focus on...

'Game Change' director says his Sarah Palin isn't a caricature. Plus, a new poster.

Four years ago, not many Americans below the 49th parallel even knew who Sarah Palin of Alaska was. That all changed when John McCain named the self-proclaimed hockey mom his Republican running mate, and the media scavenged for any detail about her and her family. An immediate celebrity, she proved to be electrifying… and occasionally a deer in the headlights. Tina Fey infamously skewered her on Saturday Night Live, and Matt Damon, an Obama partisan, rolled his eyes and compared her emergence to “a really bad Disney movie.”

Well, Palin finally has her movie — even if she had no say in the matter. »
