McShay: Redskins could move to No. 2 slot
McShay delivered the goods during his conference call. He said Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III is the type of player teams should trade up for – chiefly Cleveland from No. 4 to second and the Redskins from sixth overall to No. 2.

WR’s the Redskins Should Consider in 2012 Draft

Consider the fact that the Washington Redskins wide receivers have lacked yards after the catch (YAC) and overall play-making ability last year. Therefore, in determining the WR’s who the skins should avoid in the draft – let’s remove a few names that will not solve the YAC issue for the skins:

· Alshon Jeffrey – I know he is a beast of a WR which makes him a massive target. However, he does not create much after the catch and in terms of YAC.

· Jeff Fuller – Decent WR that can catch and make average plays. Reminds me a little of Devin Thomas (not in a good way either). Seldom does much after the catch.

· Nick Toon – Not a lot of stats or highlights for this guy. Doesn’t seem to be the true play-maker that the Redskins need. His projected 40 time is 4.60, which could make it difficult for him to excel at the next level.

· B.J. Cunningham – Projected 40 time is 4.62 and only 6’1" tall. Not much statistics to consider coming out of Michigan State.

Derek Zoolander Thinks Peyton Manning Fits the Redskins Best

What is this!?!? A Center for ants!?!?!?

Just about every NFL player past or present, media or non-media, has chimed in on how much Peyton Manning will fit in with <<enter your team name here>>. For the Redskins, that includes Mike and Mike, Mark Rypien, Torry Holt, Joe Theismann, Marshall Faulk, Joe Gibbs, Tim Hasselbeck, Steve Young, Charley Casserly, Vincent Gray, Dustin Diamond, Trent Dilfer...on and on. That's why I was quite shocked to hear that world-wide male modeling super star Derek Zoolander was open to talking about it. I happened to cross paths with the model at a Holiday Inn Express buffet we both happened to be patronizing. I don't have video yet, but here's the transcribe:

Me: Well, let's start with the report Manning has a "noodle" arm. Free agency starts in three weeks and he's not looking good.

DZ: I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

Me: Well, it just came out Manning had a fourth neck operation...not just the three we all knew about.

DZ: Poor little baby...he has a little bobbly bubbly neck? So what? Let me know when he's trying to throw his footy balls with the black lung. (cough) (cough)

Me: What makes you think he's a good fit for Shanahan?

DZ: Have you seen the size of Manning's boobly, bignormous head? It's like if Sloth and Mugatu's sister had a peyote-fueled love child. The only color combination you can dress that baby in to move attention away from that boobly head is maroon and gold.

Haynesworth Blames Redskins For Poor 2011 Conditioning (Of Course He Does)

A familiar scene...Haynesworth on one knee during a game.

The Bucs, as expected, cut Albert Haynesworth since he was due over $6 million next year and is a lazy piece of turd. I came across a TampaBay.com article from early January where Albert addressed his poor play:

"It was just me not having a good offseason, worrying about whether I was going back to the Redskins, all that stuff," he said.

First of all, what does working out have to do with anything else? You stay in shape because you're a professional athlete. It was likely you were going to get cut or traded anyway, so really, you screwed any team you planned to play for. JACKASS. Sorry, please continue, Albert...

"One day before reporting to (training) camp, I get traded (to New England), then I'm there trying to learn that system and dealing with that. I had a lot on my plate and a lot on my mind. Then I got [to Tampa] and it kind of freed me up to get back to how I play. So as time went on, I got more comfortable in the system and things got a little easier."

"a lot on my plate" = hot dogs, buckets of fried chicken, purple steaks. "a lot on my mind" = Lawsuits for being a jackass to waitresses, other motorists, business partners, strippers, and lawyers. "I got more comfortable" - You said the same thing in New England and got cut there too.
The common thread is that you haven't been in shape for a single moment since a fat check was stroked to you. Albert also went on to say he plans to return to his Pro-Bowl 2008 form. Good luck with that.

Tale of the Tape: Robert Griffin III vs Oklahoma

This week's tale of the tape focus is highly touted Baylor quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, Robert Griffin III. Rumors today suggest that Redskins owner Dan Synder is "very intrigued" by Griffin III, so lets have a look at the film. First on the agenda is his game against Oklahoma. Griffin III went 21 of 34 (61.8%) for 479 yards and four touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 218.9. Pretty impressive stats, lets see if the film lives up to it.

Completionwhilehit1a_medium

Here we have Baylor backed up near their own goal line. Griffin gets little support from his offensive line in picking up the blitz, but doesn't panic. He waits to the last possible moment to make a throw and gets the ball off as he gets hit, showing incredible toughness.

Mel Kiper's 2nd Mock Draft Has Redskins Taking Morris Claiborne

LSU's Morris Claiborne (17) returns a punt for a touchdown against West Virginia during the third quarter of an NCAA college football game on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, in Morgantown, W.Va. (AP Photo/Jeff Gentner)

Mel Kiper just posted his second mock draft of the year:

1.) Andrew Luck - IND
2.) Justin Blackmon - STL
3.) Matt Kalil - MIN
4.) RG3 - CLE
5.) Trent Richarson - TAM
6.) Redskins....

Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
Kiper: The Redskins are a team I could certainly see moving off this pick, but if the draft broke this way, the pick makes a lot of sense on both need and value. And obviously, what the Skins could do in free agency for their offense is something I'm considering. Tyrann Mathieu got the headlines at LSU, but the best cornerback on the team was Claiborne. He's the top corner in the draft, and while the Skins have offensive needs, they should also be willing to draft best available when possible because the roster needs more talent, period. While not quite the athlete, Claiborne is actually a better pure cover corner than Patrick Peterson, the No. 5 overall pick from last year.

Claiborne is listed at 6'0", 185 pounds.
Poll
If the Redskins selected Claiborne at #6....I would....
