What is Conferencing?

How do I access CIX?

How does it work?

CIX is made up of thousands of different ‘conferences’, which are similar to forums, whilst covering every subject imaginable. Each conference is managed by moderators. They can manage the topics within the conference, add new participants, promote participants to moderators, and can even remove inappropriate messages and decide the general direction each conference and topic takes.

Unlike many other forms of social networking, CIX provides a threaded medium for discussion, allowing participants of conferencing to easily see how a discussion has come about, and how each “comment” relates to a previous message.

CIX participants can even create their own conference if they feel a particular subject ought to be discussed. Unlike current forms of social networking, however, the conference can be closed or even confidential so it is not available for public view.
