Resin Cloud Optimized, Java Application Server | Java EE Web Profile
Resin is one of the first Java Application Servers on the market. Resin has long been a favorite of sites that require speed and scalability like Salesforce.com. Resin 4 has been optimized to run in Cloud Computing environments like Amazon WS/EC2, Eucalyptus, CloudStack and OpenStack.
Resin 4 was the first Java EE Web Profile certified Java application server. Resin fully embraces CDI from Java EE 6. Candi, Resin's implementation of Java CDI, is a key architectural component of Resin as Resin 4 was built from the ground up around Java CDI and dependency injection.
Resin goes beyond Servlets, and Java EE as it provides a full Java Web server that outperforms Apache HTTPD, HTTP proxy caching like SQUID, distributed cache (JCache and Memcached), messaging (JMS), and third generation clustering not to mention unrivaled Java Monitoring built in. Caucho believes in delivering everything you need to build your application, to scale out, and manage your application in one easy-to-use, high performance product.
Resin | Java Clustering
Resin's clustering support called Resin Cloud is our third generation clustering support that has been optimized to run in these cloud environments, namely, Amazon WS/EC2, Eucalyptus, CloudStack and OpenStack. Resin ships with a cluster aware load balancers that can effectively and efficiently distributed load automatically to new server entering the cluster, and also integrates with hardware load balancers.
Resin Cache | Java Memcached
Resin's distributed cache supports the Memcached wire protocol as well as the JCache API. Like Resin's Servlet session replication and its JMS Queues, its distributed cache is completely elastic. This allows you to add more nodes while never adding load to your relational database when server hash key location's change. In addition, Resin provides an in-memory, off-JVM-heap, distributed cache. Like all things Resin, the distributed cache is high performance, scalable and easy to use.
Resin Health System | Java Monitoring
[ http://www.youtube.com/embed/sTmDwcoJxPE ]Resin's health system is rules and action based. Once configurable rule levels are met, you can trigger actions like restarting the server or sending an email or even perform just-in-time Java profiling. Resin's Java Monitoring is like no other. It allows you to keep track of your entire cluster of Resin Java EE Application Servers.
Resin CLI and REST | DevOps
Resin 4 is built from the ground up to support DevOps. It supports REST interfaces for every management function. Resin can also be managed by the command line. Resin is the Java Application Server of choice for DevOps. Resin is more than a cloud application server. Resin is a cloud platform. It is controllable and scriptable via REST and CLI. It's third generation cloud/cluster support was built with operational predictability in mind. You can setup a complete cloud of Resin application servers in any IaaS environment in a matter of moments. Adding new servers to the cloud is extremely simple. Services are completely elastic, non-chatty and efficient. It just works. If you need to deploy Java web applications in the cloud, then Resin is your Java Application Server.
