@ko_bx I don't understand what a "spec= for methods" would be? Isn't that basically what spec is anyway? @brandon_rhodes I think you're just special :-) @tartley @brandon_rhodes @dabeaz dvlprs have code parsers in their heads that ignore comments. Keeping them up to date therefore impossible. @tartley @brandon_rhodes @dabeaz I did a code review today where a colleague copied a test, changed what it did but left all comments! @watsonjemma what's me? I mean I know I'm me, I'd be very surprised if I wasn't. But uhm, hi :-) @tartley @dabeaz @brandon_rhodes yep, storing important non-obvious information about code is the best (only?) valid use of comments. @gabrielwoodger we use a PS3 as our media centre, so I don't think I need it. I should probably prefer Ubuntu TV anyway. :-) @VirusDuba you're welcome of course. Thank you. @VirusDuba for programming I use Python and the Wing IDE along with tools like virtualenv, fabric, pip etc @VirusDuba you mean between different Linux distributions? For development they're all very similar. I like Ubuntu of course. :-) @VirusDuba Linux is a far superior development environment. Particularly package management and command line system / tools. @bloodearnest yep, full money back guarantee. @bloodearnest @ntoll and voiding your warranty... On the plus side, moving the Evoluent mouse wireless dongle onto the desk solves the "pauses". On the minus side my 7 port usb hub is full. @JohnDCook I still wouldn't use C# as a scripted language, it isn't *just* about not having to compile... @JohnDCook that reminds me of an IronPython library I wrote that would compile and use C# on the fly. @bkjones hehe, cool. Took a long time to get there. #pycon AirPlay mirroring from a desktop (or headless) machine to Apple TV makes much more sense than from a phone... #mountinlion #apple And hey, if removing the deprecated patch_object breaks your tests - that's only because you didn't try out *any* of the mock betas. :-) @hynek cool :-)
