Not fitting properly

My bumgenius nappies dont seem to be fitting LO properly. It is on the medium size but there is about a 1cm+ space between his legs and the nappy so the nappy is not tight and ends up leaking :shrug: Also when I put in an extra booster they dont seem to fit around the waist anymore.. Help :(
