truth

It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction. Truth is something we can strip down and describe in about 200 words.

Truth is naked and pure.

In the movie Star Wars, Ben Kenobi says, "You will find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view."

Truth, and our perception of it, depends a lot on our point of view. The human imagination can be a delusion generator, not a window to truth. Everyone, including skeptics, will generate delusions that match their own views and call them truth.

So are there some Universal Truths out there? Things that are true whether we believe in them or not? Of course there is, but even those aren't even agreed upon and the mysteries of the cosmos continue to elude us.

Everyone thinks they are right about the truth. Even though the lines between right and almost right can get blurry at times, God created us with a conscience, and our conscience can tell us if what we are doing is good or bad, regardless of what we have been told is the truth.

In the end, people will believe what they want to believe. And that, to them, is the truth. Fox Mulder always said, "the truth is out there. For edgy and controversial points of view on the truth, with a side of humor, visit The Natural Truth.
