This application turns your Pocket PC/Windows Mobile device (with external or internal GPS) into an easy to read speedometer for the car, boat, bike or whatever! With the tap of the screen the speed is shown in full screen, maximising the speed display. The application also features a mirror setting so you can turn your device into a heads up display for night time driving (see picture above).

The application is small in size so there are no fancy features - it does what is says i.e. its a GPS speedometer. The speed readout can be set to knots, kilometers or miles per hour. The speed digits and background colours can be changed to suit day or night time driving applications. The application can be run in full screen mode and the display can be mirrored for heads up display applications.

[ system requirements
GPS Speedo is compiled for XScale/ARM devices. It runs on Pocket PC 2002, 2003, 2003SE and Window Mobile 5/6/6.1.

Note it only runs on touch screen devices so Windows Mobile Smartphone is not supported.

[ installation
GPS Speedo is distributed in a zip file or you can directly download the CAB installer to your device.

The installer zip file contains one executable file which is a desktop installer. Unzip the file and run (on your PC) the file called "GPS Speedo Setup (ARM) (EN).exe". The application will install on your device if it is attached or next time you sync.

If you download the CAB file or zipped CAB file copy the CAB file to your device and ctap on it in File Explorer to install directly on the device.

GPS Speedo is distributed as try before you buy shareware, this means;

1. All copyrights to GPS Speedo are exclusively owned by the author - Trevor Hart.
2. GPS Speedo is distributed as time limited software suitable for evaluating the application in terms of performance and compability of hardware. You may use the software for as long as you want but the trial version will disconnect the GPS after 10 minutes of continous use.
3. For unlimited use a serial number must be purchased. This will remove any trial limitations of the software.
4. Since a trial version is provided for evaluation, refunds are not available after serial numbers have been issued by the author.
5. The GPS Speedo unregistered trial version may be freely distributed provided the distribution package is not modified in any way.
6. Due to the nature of GPS navigation and the possibility that the information may contain errors, the author does not guarantee the accuracy or validity of the information provided by GPS Speedo. Use the information provided by GPS Speedo at your own risk and under no circumstances should GPS Speedo be relied upon for safety of life applications. The author specifically disclaims any and all liability, including without limitation, consequential and incidental damages, that may arise in anyway from the use of or reliance on GPS Speedo.
