KCRW Radio Day Stage Artists Announced
KCRW-Los Angeles will present three outstanding and much buzzed-about acts on the SXSW Radio Day Stage: Michael Kiwanuka, Alabama Shakes and HoneyHoney. They'll all perform between 3 and 6p on Wednesday, March 14th, the first day of the SXSW Music and Media Conference, in Ballroom D on the 4th Floor of the Austin Convention Center.
Michael Kiwanuka, a 24-year old North Londoner, was recently profiled here and named winner of the BBC Sound of 2012 poll, a clear sign that British music industry pros expect him to have a breakout year. His full-length debut album will be released in late March.

Prosthetic Records at SXSW 2012
Los Angeles-based metal label Prosthetic Records returns to SXSW for their second ever official SXSW showcase. The label, now celebrating 14th years of heaviness, will be taking over Valhalla on Friday, March 16th."One of Holy Grail's most popular songs is 'Call of Valhalla,' so it's fitting that Valhalla will be the site of the band's first SXSW appearance and our second label showcase," says Prosthetic co-founder E.J. Johantgen. "With Scale The Summit also on the bill to represent their home state and anchor our show once again, Austin 3/16 should be a killer night."
