So it may be presumed the will have to have all the features + more than the N95 for it to be a communicator. (minus the camera as that is more a multimedia selling point but having USB mass storage with port!, GPS, etc )
Jah, did the rep let on about any announcements? as I have my eyes on the N95 as it looks mighty impressive…
One more thing to this post (and my knowledge on platforms is not great) The s60 range all have the same looks in terms of calendars, notes, etc. Thought it has been mentioned in threads before that Nokia will most likely will be using s603rdED as the new communicator platform, doesn’t it look doubtful they will add enhancements to make the new calendar look anything like the current s80 calendar (week view is perfect!)?

The new Communicator is in prototype stage. Some developers who have good contacts with Nokia even had a chance to see it at the smartphone show.

No, but I don't have any further details at the moment. I should know something by the end of the month.

Better start saving now! It'll be like November 2004 when we had the P910 and 9500 available within a few months o each other. I finally switched to 9500 and later to the 7710. Hopefully the retail 9500 replacement wont be available for about 5/6 months - enough time to get some use out of my P990!

I really cant wait, Michal can please you like tell us everything you know when you do?
The new Communicator will be S60 3rd Edition (3.1 precisely) based. The internal screen will be VERY HUGE, and the external screen will be S60 as well - thanks to S60 3rd Edition's scalable UI. The keyboard will be large and comfortable, too. That's all for now but more info will come as soon as I know something.
As I wrote, prototypes are already available, so it's a sure thing.

Do you know if it will be 3.5G (HSDPA)?

Since the N95 will support 3.5G (HSDPA) and will be the first S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 device, and if the new communicator also will be based on this platform version, it is likely the communicator also will support 3.5G. That is, unless Nokia selects to play it safe and thus does not add too many new features in one device at once.
