Valve's Daily Deal for February 14th is Dinner Date ([store.steampowered.com]). For those that don't know, Dinner Date is an Indie Game about a man trying to cope with the fact that he was stood up for a romantic date he's been expecting for a long time. It's "Forever Alone: The Game", more or less.

I don't think this was a coincidence. I think that Valve chose this game as if to say "If today, on Valentine's Day, you your main priority to see what Steam Games are for you, all we can say is that we think this game may be something to which you can relate."

Let the Concurrent Users Online data for this game tonight be a testament to the tenacity and loneliness of geek's everywhere.

This simulated toast is to you!

I saw it. Couldn't take it seriously.

Even my live and let live philosophy is taking a beating with this 'game'. #speakup

I just bought it. I feel like it has to be what I play tonight. #deals (Edit comment)

There are loads of games on Amazon for 1 cent from third party sellers, but the shipping is always high. You'll get many games that are 1 cent, but the shipping brings them higher than Amazon's price. #speakup (Edit comment)
So more like ebay... bleh didn't notice the third-party seller #speakup (Edit comment)

That's a steal. If you haven't played ME2, you owe it yourself to get it for that price. #speakup (Edit comment)
Would it be possible to activate ME2 on Steam? #speakup (Edit comment)
promoted by Phaz
Not sure. Sometimes Amazon downloads give you a Steam key, but other times they don't. Varies from game to game. #speakup (Edit comment)

I know! I bought it yesterday :)

and to Souls, no, it requires Origin but I heard somewhere that you can do the installation without Origin #speakup

(Edit comment)
ME3 is the only ME that requires Origin, so you can play ME1/2 without it. (Edit comment)

TRAILS IN THE SKY for 20 bucks on PSN! GO GO GO!!!!

Yes, I am aware that this was in the PS Store update thread but the formatting of the "Price drops" section made it cumbersome to see what got price dropped.

I made the mistake of skipping over that section exactly because it looked like a blob of text instead of the usual list of items that I was expecting.

I found out about the price drop only after I got on the PS Store and saw it listed at 20 bucks under the Price Drop section.

How is the game? I hear a lot of talk about it. Definitely worth $20.00? #speakup (Edit comment)
Aite aite... cool your tentacles, I'm buying it now. #speakup (Edit comment)

The game is EXCELLENT. XSEED have done an excellent job with its localization.

There is a great deal of story with the Trails in the Sky trilogy, many of which are important background points to the new sequel trilogy consisting of Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki.

(Note: Trails in the Sky trilogy is known as the Sora no Kiseki trilogy.)

I've basically been playing Trails in the Sky again and again instead of playing other games. >_< #tips

(Edit comment)
Wow. I guess I'll be downloading it haha. What are the odds of the rest of the trilogy coming to the U.S.? I have heard it both ways but I'm not really sure about the sales numbers. #tips (Edit comment)

*sigh*

Another game to that backlog, I suppose. Any idea what the chances are on the rest of the trilogy coming over here? Were the sales strong enough to support it? #speakup

(Edit comment)

Sales numbers are so-so and XSEED is sort of trudging along with Second Chapter at the moment.

Grand Knights History is currently on pause because VanillaWare is focusing on Dragon Crown before they will shift focus back to GKH. Thomas, from XSEED Games, is a regular commenter over at Siliconera. #tips

(Edit comment)

The Trails in the Sky trilogy will be on both iOS and Android as well. Problem is, the localization on iOS and Android is done by a completely different entity.

I'm still going to wait for the PSP/PSVita localization though largely because the entity that is doing the iOS and Android localization has a shitty track record.

I don't have a PSP.

Is this game available on other platforms? Like PC or something? I've heard great stuff about the story (I looooove good story). So I thought JRPG + Excellent Story = Holy shit I must play this. Might be another fucking Chrono Trigger.

And CT is the only good JRPG I've played, holy shit.

If you are getting the PS Vita, you can play it on your PS Vita. That's what I plan to do and it'll be the 4th time that I'll be playing through Trails in the Sky. I really should play some of my other backlogged games though. XD

The Trails in the Sky series is also getting ported to iOS and Android but the localization is done by a completely different entity that has a history of shitty localizations. I still recommend that people pick up the PSP version by XSEED regardless of physical or digital format.

It is an excellent game. #tips

(Edit comment)

PSP Vita it is. Once the price drops.

Until tomorrow? Why thank you very much. I've been meaning to grab VII, VIII and IX but I thought I had more time than that. I'll go fetch those now before I miss my chance! #tips (Edit comment)

It doesn't look like IX is in the sale, unless they just forgot to list it at the end there (they talk about it above the list) #speakup (Edit comment)
Dang, looks like I will be signing on and downloading The War of the Lions at least. I can dig it. #speakup (Edit comment)

Well, given that I've just bought FFVII, VIII and IX for a grand total of £10.77, I'm fairly sure that IX is definitely included! I bought those three, picked up FFV for free as a PS+ bonus and I already have VI on my hard drive. Plus, XIII-2 is current in my PS3 disc drive, that's a whole lotta Final Fantasy sitting right there!

*waits patiently for HD FFX and Versus XIII to add to the collection, whilst praying for a HD version of XII as well* #speakup

Haha, yeah that was pretty unfair. You could quite easily play the game ten times and have never noticed it existed. I only found it after reading some comments online that made me curious enough to look it up. >_< #speakup (Edit comment)

I just discovered this and am conflicted as my computer could only just barely run Skyrim when I downloaded a crack for a couple days. But I've got this 25% off all Bethesda titles that would also apply during this sale... Decisions....I hate them. #deals (Edit comment)

Hmmm I already have Osmos and World of Goo from previous humble bundles... and I'm pretty sure my laptop can't handle Anomaly. So that leaves me with Edge. Not sure if want, but I'll probably still buy and pay above average, just to support the cause. I did get way more than my money's worth with the last bundle, so it's the least I can do. :p #speakup (Edit comment)

Oh wow. Definitely getting in on this one.

This will mark the fourth time I've bought World of Goo, though (though it'll be the first for Android). #speakup

(Edit comment)

Bought it, even though I already have the all games listed on Steam.

Still, free Android versions (even though I don't have an Android phone). Might give away the Steam codes later, if I'm feeling generous (still reeling from yesterday's struggle with getting another Steam game).

Chantelise was one of the first few games that EasyGameStation made so its age was very noticeable when compared with Recettear (which was made after Chantelise).

Thing is, Fortune Summoners was made by LizSoft, which is a different group and its mechanics are very different from Recettear. Where Recettear was about running a store and keeping yourself from getting foreclosed on, Fortune Summoners is more about 2D adventuring/platforming. #tips

It is only 15 bucks, dood. #tips (Edit comment)

I know, I know, but I'm on a budget.

Dammit, I shouldn't have spent my funds on Space Pirates And Zombies (Steam Deal last week) and some recent Microsoft Points.

Hopefully I can get my next paycheck soon, but I'll probably have to pay full price by then. I guess they'll get more cash from me, haha!
