I know, it has been a really, really long time since I last posted here, and to be honest I didn't think that I would again. You see I read this little book called Twilight and all of a sudden this whole new world opened up to me. I fell in love with the story and the characters and I wanted more, so I started a Twilight Fansite and then a Twilight forum for Aussie Mums and the website for that followed soon after. All of which, along with my partner and 5 kids have keep me quite busy for the last year.

So what am I doing back here? Well.... my eldest Chloe was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last October, it has been a huge adjustment for Chloe and our family but everything has been going well. She has adjusted amazingly to giving herself 4 insulin injections each day, watching the food that she eats and just managing all the day to day stuff that goes along with diabetes!

But now we have had a spanner thrown into the works! We just had confirmation that she also has Coeliac Disease, which means that she can no longer eat anything containing gluten. So now she is on a carb controlled, low sugar, low fat and no gluten diet..... hmmm this is a little overwhelming!

Anyway, I have decided to get this blog back up and running again so I have a place to put the information and recipes I find as we go on this little journey!

Any input would be greatly appreciated from anyone who is also on the gluten free or diabetic journey :)

I do have an excuse! I had my 2 little cousins stay here with us last night, so that meant 7 kids under the age of 10 years all in my little house all at the same time!!!! Ok, so they were all good and they all went to bed and went to sleep without any fuss, so I can't really use it as an excuse for forgetting about Fab Five, but I'm going to use it anyway :)
