Welcome to jcp.org, home of the Java Community ProcessSM (JCPSM) Program. The JCP is the mechanism for developing standard technical specifications for Java technology. Anyone can register for the site and participate in reviewing and providing feedback for the Java Specification Requests (JSRs), and anyone can sign up to become a JCP Member and then participate on the Expert Group of a JSR or even submit their own JSR Proposals.
To get the most out of the site, register now.
For more information about the JCP Program, refer to our overview page.

The Program Office will host another call at 14:00 PST 16 February with special guest Martijn Verburg, JCP EC (alternate) representative for the London Java Community on the JCP SE/EE EC. Martijn also has updated the "Adopt a JSR" program pages on java.net, including the addition of a section for Spec Leads and EG members "I'm a Spec Lead / EG member - how do I bring 'Adopt a JSR' to our standard!". This has the potential to be a great resource for Spec Leads to leverage the Java developer community.
The JCP program is preparing to select the 2011
Star Spec Leads. Do you have candidates for 2011 Star Spec Leads? Please send email to heather at jcp dot org, if you would like to nominate a Spec Lead for this honor. Please send your nomination before 15 January 2012 and include a couple of sentences in support of your nomination and keep in mind the selection criteria:
