@davidgilson It seems like exploitation, in that those affected are effectively forced to work long shifts for less than the minimum wage.
@davidgilson Of course, I'm OK for the moment - but they're only making life harder for students & the unemployed seeking sustainable work.
Disgusted by http://www.guardian.co.uk/busines.... I guess that the Rubicon has been crossed.
Rich_Sire: So nice to see people waking up to #workfare. Gov telling everyone "Get a job" whilest making sure none are available.Work a job,get a wage! - http://twitter.com/Rich_Si...
Hmm, so according to http://dictionnaire-libre.fr/search... and http://lang-8.com/90163..., it was a "corner/edge case" borrowing, and is valid for that context.
Wondering why the Japanese Windows on-screen keyboard's "Help" button is labelled 「ヘルプ〠(Herupu), instead of 「助ã‘ã€(Tasuke)...
(I wonder if they'll implement a "feature" that prevents non-Sony/unlicensed devices from consuming electricity)...

Noting that Twitter's new conversation view is horrible, in comparison to the old one. It doesn't even handle posts in context correctly.
@rbonini (I've had a HomeHub, and several Voyagers "bricked" by their own updates, after using their official update procedures).
@rbonini BT aren't too bad - although I'll never use their proprietary hardware again, after being burnt by defective firmware updates.
@rbonini I don't know which ISP they're using now; but when I last visited them, a few years ago, their line was effectively in limbo.
rbonini: @vmlemon *groan* The horror. - http://twitter.com/rbonini...
@rbonini It could be worse (AOL). My cousin's family failed miserably in switching away from them, after many botched registration attempts.
@rbonini Curiously, it's probably the fourth time that I've used them - if you count their old FreeServe and Wanadoo guises.
@rbonini If you prod the Enter key enough times, when presented with the admin page credentials, it eventually lets you in. ;)
@rbonini I resorted to looking up the LCP error message using Opera Mini over GPRS on my phone, and trying an undocumented config URL.
@rbonini Even more annoyingly, I was adamant that I knew the admin panel password, and that I had never changed it from the default...
@rbonini So I decided to just factory-reset/reconfigure the gateway - but the DSLAM kept rejecting my (intuitively correct) credentials.
@rbonini Heh. I didn't even want to spend hours on diagnosing the original problem (changing the 802.11 channel without admin panel access).
Hurrah, so after spending hours on debugging PPPoA CHAP sessions, guessing credentials, and reconfiguring my gateway, ADSL works again.
