The Don Stewart story, “The life and ministry of Don Stewart,†is really the story of a modern-day miracle based on Acts 19: 11-12! My mother, Beulah, was 40 years old when I was born and was in danger of dying as she gave birth. The doctors also feared for my life. While she was lying there, a man walked into the room, put a prayer cloth on my mother and said, “You shall live and not die, and the child you are baring (Don Stewart) shall be a chosen vessel.†The stranger left the room and was never seen again, but he would have a profound effect on me…the life and calling of Don Stewart!
Whenever someone says “Don Stewart, tell me what was the first miracle you ever sawâ€, I have to go back to the time when I was only four years old. That was how old I was when I first witnessed God’s miracle working power. We had a goat that supplied all the milk we drank. Well, one day this goat became very sick and seemed to be dying. My mother knelt down, anointed the goat with oil, and prayed a simple but sincere prayer for God to heal the goat. Almost immediately, the goat jumped up and began to run around the yard! As you can imagine, seeing a miracle like this at that tender young age made me a believer!
When I was 13 years old, I was struck with a crippling bone disease in my hip joints. After two years and four major operations, doctors still could not give me hope that I would ever be able to walk without crutches again. But God miraculously healed me when I was 15 years of age. It was a miracle that would forever change the direction of my life! I’ll never forget when God spoke to my heart, “Don Stewart, I have called you to go to all nations to Heal Human Hurts, in my nameâ€.
As a teenager, I would pray, read the Bible and listen to revivals on the radio. I was particularly drawn to A.A. Allen’s ministry and the testimonies of other people who were healed by God’s supernatural power. After high school, I went to work for Rev. Allen, pounding tent stakes at revivals. Rev. Allen quickly recognized the power of the Holy Spirit that was working within me and he began mentoring me. Soon I was preaching to people in crowded tents and standing-room-only auditoriums with Rev. Allen.
For over 50 years now, I have been spreading the Gospel and sharing the message of God’s supernatural power with people in over 85 countries on six continents. From bamboo huts to presidential palaces, from open fields to some of the largest coliseum in the world, I’ve delivered the message that God gave me, the message of God’s love, grace and mercy and that God wants to heal you EVERYWHERE you hurt…The message of HEALING HUMAN HURTS!
Some people say, “Don Stewart do you heal people?†My answer is always an infallible “No, Jesus is the healerâ€! I’m merely a conduit or vessel. God uses me, Don Stewart, the same way a water pipe carries water to a home, I carry the healing anointing from the source, which is God. The healing power of Jesus Christ passes through me, using this simple point of contact, the Green Prosperity Prayer Handkerchiefâ€, and brings it to a hurting world.
The Green Prosperity Prayer Handkerchief is a cloth that I have personally prayed over, blessed, and anointed. I believe the prayer cloth is a Touch Point of Hope to help people release their faith because, “all things are possible to him that believeth.†(Mark 9:23) Thousands of people around the world who have used the Green Prosperity Prayer Handkerchief have given inspiring testimonies of the miracles of healing, prosperity, and spiritual salvation.
Just the other day, I received a letter from Audrey from Washington that said “When I used the Green Prosperity Prayer Cloth that Don Stewart sent to me, God healed me of cancer!†I received another letter from Karen from Colorado who wrote, “Thank you Rev. Don Stewart for your prayers, my husband, Kevin, is out of the hospital. He was healed of a blood disorder and diabetes!â€
“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.†Acts 19:11-12
Don Stewart Is Barack Obama a Christian
November 19, 2008Is Barack Obama a Christian?  I told you in my last blog that I have never endorsed a presidential candidate or been political in my ministry. I simply stated that for many years I was hoping that an African American would be elected president. At one time I thought it might be Colin Powell, because I felt he was certainly qualified. I thought it was time for America to make a statement.
Â
First of all I want to say to the African American community that Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream was being fulfilled as he prophetically declared, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.â€
Secondly, to every American regardless of their race that we are all created in the image of God. Thirdly to the world, that America is truly, “the home of the brave and the land of the free,†enough to make changes.
I realize that many of you are concerned about President-elect Obama’s stand on abortion and same sex marriages. I will tell you I have concerns as well, but I am encouraged by his book, “The Audacity of Hope.†In the book he says …â€perhaps we could agree on a way to reduce the number of women who felt the need to have abortions in the first place.†My point is, regardless of how you voted we Americans have elected the first African American to be our president. He is not just the president of Democrats; he is also the president of Republicans. He is the president of all Americans. We may disagree with some of his policies, even from what we consider to be against Biblical truth. However, I hope you remember many of the kings that God chose in the Bible were flawed, but they were still ordained by God.
I have heard a few people say some very harsh things that I believe are unfair and without merit things like he is a Muslim or he is the anti-Christ. He has declared that he is a Christian. In his book he tells us how he walked down the aisle of his church and accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized. The bible says, (1 John 4:2-3 NKJV); “By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,  3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the [spirit] of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.†Barack Obama has confessed Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior.
My prayer for Barack Obama is that God will use him like he did Barak in the Bible, Judges Chapters 4 and 5. Deborah and Barak were used by God to defeat the enemies of Israel, Sisera, “And the hand of the children of Israel prospered…†(Judges 4:24 KJV) This was a battle that was more than a battle on earth. It was a battle that was fought from the heavens.  ”They fought from heaven; the stars in there courses fought against Sisera.â€(Judges 5:20 KJV) I pray that Barack Obama will be listed in the hall of faith along with Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Sampson, David, Samuel, Barak, and the prophets.
Is it a sign that proposition 8 in California that defined marriage as a union between one man and one woman, would not have passed if it weren’t for the African American vote? Black Americans voted for it by over 70%, while a majority of white voters were against it. God may be up to something we do not know. (Isaiah 55:8&9 KJV),â€For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.â€
My dear friends, I realize that I view things through the lens of hope, grace, and mercy; because that is the gift God gave me, the gift of hope!
