You have found the website for "Dr. George", a self-described technophile and teacher.

On this site you will find some fun stuff intended for children, some material to help those who teach the Bible, and a modest amount of personal features intended for friends and family.

Please note that I am not a medical doctor, and this site provides no medical advice whatsoever. I'm also not a doctor of philosophy, dentistry, optometry, or any other complicated subject. "Dr. George" originated as a character in a television-oriented children's church, nothing more. Sorry, Mom.

The kids' area features a selection of original interactive stories (somewhat like the books where you choose your own path, except the text is more dynamic). I rotate crafts related to classes I teach, but you can make them even if you aren't in any of my classes. I've also organized six original games here. These are games that you create using a computer, but play on a table or floor (like Monopoly). At least one, Cosmic Warfare, has been actively playtested by friends and family since my college days (that's twenty-mumble years!), so it's quite high quality. I would appreciate your opinion.

The adult area focuses primarily on lesson plans where the Bible is taught using science experiments. I've found that the experiments hold the kids' attention well, and memorably link Bible truthes to visual metaphor. None of the science and few of the experiment ideas are original; see the resources page for some of my sources for ideas. However, all of the Biblical applications are original with me. Please use them to advance God's kingdom.

Finally, I have a few photo albums where I post pictures of family (especially my kids) and friends. Even if you don't know me, feel free to browse. They're just as exciting as anyone else's family photo album.

If you have a Bible study, children's church, or other kids-oriented program and are interested in a guest presenter, please don't hesitate to inquire here. The program can be tailored to your kids' ages, level of Bible knowledge, and maturity as Christians or seekers. A low-key but clear presentation of the gospel is always a part of every program.
