Directions to the Unknown Soldier
While at the tomb, I observed three groups of high school students from the surrounding area, Maryland, D. C. and Virginia, place wreathes at the foot of the Tomb. What a wonderful opportunity to participate in our national heritage. I wonder if these students will remember their acts many years from now.

The Return Flight to Tennessee
For me and many others, returning to the USA after a twelve month deployment was a joy. Most all of us had loved ones waiting, especially after the long flight and year in Afghanistan. However, I did notice that some of us were without family or friends...while most were recieved with hugs and kisses. Most of us reflected upon our reunions. How would they go?
Such a joy to be back with my family. Now, I look forward to the next assignment, the next adventure, the next move in life. When, where and what...?

Easter 2008 Southwest Asia Worship Service
Worshiping the Risen Lord in a far away country.... What a joy and celebration in the midst of a suffering land.
In some powerful way, this kind of event pushes back a felt darkness.
He is Risen! He is Risen INDEED! So, what are the options?
That is the question that must be answered every time the Resurrection of our Living Lord comes to mind. What does that Event in history mean for my life and my daily travels?
