Mon to Fri breakie

Thursday 2113

This.

30Day_day2

…is my typical breakfast on working days.
Actually, most of the time I would go for fried chicken, plain rice and some cooked vegetable.

I eat three big meals a day religiously especially on week days.
Breakfast starts before 7am, tea break/lunch between 10am-1pm and dinner around 7-8pm. I always prefer plain rice in my meal. But, I don’t usually munch in between the big meals except for coffee. That probably explains why I don’t stock up on fats quickly (well, besides having high metabolism lah).

You eat what I eat too?

Usuals on unusual day

Wednesday 1843

The eve before Valentine’s Day, I was drafting an entry especially for V’s Day. In fact, I had time stamped it to be published at the wee hour of Feb 14th. The content of my entry was something about not having plans for Valentine’s Day but to stay at home. Like any other typical week days.

However, a few minutes past midnight and technically it’s already Valentine’s Day, while both of us already on the bed waiting to doze off, the hubby turned and said, “Happy Valentine’s Day hunny! Apa kita mau buat tomorrow?”

That caught me by surprise.

I mean, there I was posting a scheduled entry telling that no plans were made and most probably no hoolah boolah celebration for V’s Day. However, at that very moment, hubby was spilling me with hopes of a beautiful Valentine’s celebration.

Quickly, I rose up and went out.

“I have to delete that scheduled entry.”

So I did.

Did I have a fantastic Valentine’s Day?

I did.
No candle light dinner involved, if you ask.

Initially, we wanted to have proper dining out.
But with no specific place in mind, we were on a ‘no plans’ date. Besides, restaurants reservations could have been exhausted by then. When hubby came home from work, it suddenly flicked in my mind that we don’t necessarily need to dine out nicely in order to celebrate V’s Day.

“Wandering at the mall would be much nicer,” I thought.

As soon as I told the hubby the unexpected plan, he nodded in agreement.

“Apa movie bagus sekarang ah?” he asked.

Few minutes later…

‘Got star wars 3D!!!’ he texted me via iMessage from his iPad and while he’s still in the toilet!

So yeah, we celebrated Valentine’s Day window shopped at the mall, had dinner at KFC (Yes, you may laugh) watching Star Wars 3D , which by the way was superb and went home past midnight.

Those were  stuffs we normally do during the weekend but both hubby and I felt that it was a great Valentine’s Day date cos we enjoyed the night very much.

And to quote the hubby…

“Memang paling bagus punya Valentine’s Day ni this year. Paling murah.”

Which is true.
We spent less than a hundred bucks, satisfied.

Too bad no photos of yesterday.

Just this.
30Day_day1

I’m on a 30 Days blogging challenge. Day 1 starts with a photo of myself and how I feel today.

Well, this is me after coming back from my weekly Futsal game. One of my ways to combat stress from work and today’s day at work wasn’t a pleasant one. But I managed to complete things with much ease. Thus, me smiling albeit tired looking face.

Hope yours are way better.

Last good book

Wednesday 1550

lastgoodbook

This was read back in 2010.
Boy, that means the last good book I had was two years ago!

I did read some books in between but I could not recall any books being as good as this one. Unfortunately, not even comparable to Kinsella’s Mini Shopaholic. The feeling of satisfaction post reading still lingers and I yearn for that feeling despite not really sure when will I have time for a book actually.

Anyways, fans of Sophie Kinsella…her latest book is releasing world wide this month Feb 16th.
ivegotyournumber

I hope I will be as lucky as I was when her Mini Shopaholic was released in 2010 cos I bought it just a few days after it was released world wide.

Gotta head the bookstore to reserve my copy!

Mind sharing your last good book?

Vanity Overhauled

Sunday 1440

The hubby went on outstation.
Two days without him, so what did I do?

Paint my nails like every hour - Checked.
Play Dress Me Up - Checked.
Bathed the dogs - Checked.
Watch Korean dramas on CH393 non-stop - Checked.
Clean up my vanity table -Checked.

Now, the last thing I did… well, I was actually at Beaty’s latest entry. It dawned to me that when it comes to making myself pretty, I am not really a keen one. I mean, I do make up regularly especially when I am out but to say that I religiously maintain my beauty regime…you can say, I don’t quite the person you can refer to.

Most of my make up are dumped in a basket inside my drawer. Sad eh?

Anyways, let’s have a tour at my beauty regime, shall we?

I prep my skin for make up with these 3-steps not-so-everyday skin care…I say not every day cos I sometimes skipped washing with the foam and toning with the toner. What I normally do are rinse my face with water and using clean towel, put on the moisturiser and that’s it.
IMG_3131

Next, to put on primer and powder. I’ve been into Revlon the past 2 years so these are like my staple for daily use especially the primer and the powder.
IMG_3132

Shaping my eyebrow is one of the two things must-do in my make up routine…this one has been with me for 3 years. Like seriously. I even use the brown shade for my going-to-work eye shadow. If this finished, I’m not sure if I can find a replacement for it anymore.

Some of my eye shadow collection meant for using on occasions.

Eyeliner! A MUST-DO beauty regime for me. With my pension for Revlon products, it delighted me that its’ liquid eyeliner is one thing I can never go out without. The white pencil liner is to be used on lower eye line to create illusion of bigger eyes konon…

Current blusher by Faceshop.
IMG_3136

You can see how deep my love for Revlon stuffs. That Lancome lipstick, it was a spur of a moment purchase but I love its smooth texture when applied on the lip.
IMG_3138

Hand & Body lotion. I don’t normally stick with just one. ^__^
IMG_3140

My daily make up cleansing starts with these…that Simple facial wipes is easy to pack when I’m traveling.
IMG_3139

My make up brushes. Since Elianto’s brushes are cheaper, I haul on them a lot.
IMG_3142

My hair brush and comb. I have four to serve different purposes when my hair needs it.
IMG_3141

Finally, the finishing touch to my make up routine… perfume! Here are my current favourite, Still by J.Lo and Neroli Jasmin from the Bodyshop.
IMG_3144

Looks like a lot of things eh?
But hey, these stuffs I laid out above, they only make up the surface of the world of beauty. There are more… make up concealer, bronzer, mascara, lip gloss, loose powder, lip liner, face serum, day and night cream, eye cream, facial mask, etc. But I don’t bother much about those as I only need the basic stuffs to get me going. Most important, I can’t go without my liquid eye liner. ^__^

But then again, since I am into middle 30s now, I should look out for something that says ‘age defying’ kan?

How about you ladies?

Tomorrow’s holiday so happy holiday!

Permanent drawing

2nd tats (8)

^____^

Just hours after I was done with my first tattoo back in 2008, I had this longing for having another one. Not just a drawing that mark an event in my life (Hence, my first tats). But something that commemorate the one thing that have and always will be an impact in my life.

Optimism.

Horse being my Chinese astrological sign and Sagittarius (often pictured as a combination of half archer man and half horse) are two elements that aptly describe the characteristic that I highly placed in my heart. Hence, the design.

Enough yada, yada. Let’s go straight to some photos.

2nd tats (2)
Pip Lubasi is a fellow Facebook friends who owns Jesselton Tattoo & Body Piercing located at Jesselton Point, KK.

2nd tats (3)

2nd tats (4)

2nd tats (9)
The wound takes about two weeks to heal. The photo above is the tats on 4th day. Scabs beginning to form and I’m trying hard not to scratch or peel the dried skin by myself or else I risk having non-healing wound. My ankle is swollen too but the swelling is slowly going down when more scabs forming.

Do I still want more?
Honestly, I think I have enough. I no longer have that urge to get more…No longer feels that there is anymore pricking need to have it inked on my skin.

Satisfied?
Yes.

But the experts say, the pain is addictive.
Well, who knows?

Don’t ask me if it’s painful or not.
Pain is subjective.
I can tahan the pain.
Some may not.

Pleasant weekend!
