Utah – August 2003

We went to Zion, Bryce, Arches and Cayonlands National Parks in August 2003. This is spectacular country, a photographer’s dream. I took over 1000 photos during the five days we were there.

Digital Photo Frame – My father-in-law and I created a pretty nice digital photo frame. Buying a Tripod – This is the process I went through to buy my tripod. I didn’t find a lot of useful info on the web about this, so here is my story. Positioning a copyright notice in the bottom-right corner in Photoshop – – pretty self-explanatory, but was harder than I expected. If anyone has suggestions for a better way to do this, be sure to share with the rest of us.

Weekly Assignments

Fred Miranda has a wonderful web site with a variety of resources for digital photographers, including photoshop actions, message boards and weekly assignments. The weekly assignment is a photo topic that changes every week. Anyone can submit a photo. It is a good way to push you to take photos that you wouldn’t normally take. I used to complete the assignment on a fairly regular basis. View My Assignments.
