How to: Install XBMC on iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch
The rather excellent XBMC media centre has been ported to the iOS platform, so without further ado, lets get that wonderful software on your iPhone, iPad and / or iPod Touch!
With the recent release of an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 a plethora of people are updating their iDevices. Some using the OTA mechanism, others by plugging into iTunes. If you haven’t already downloaded the firmware update then you’ll often find iTunes will time out at these busy periods. Thankfully, as always, it’s possible to download those massive firmware files directly from the big fruit and it’s faster too!
Chances are your iOS device has already prompted you that there’s an update available to install. Many people just ignore these in the same way they do App Store updates. Thankfully, it’s really easy to kick off that installer and update your device
iOS 5 is out. Apple’s servers are melting under the load of people trying to download it, Mac updates, iTunes updates and other software updates like iPhoto and Apeture. Thankfully, there is a faster way to download the firmware updates.
Sometimes the simplest of things need an answer and this is one such occasion. Long term Windows users arrive on Mac OS and wonder, “Where’s the Print Screen button” or “How do I take a screenshot?”.
