Director of Design Digg seeks a keen design eye and a great communicator to lead the redesigns of several key user experiences. This is a full-time position at Digg's headquarters in San Francisco.

Digg is looking for strong software engineers with extensive experience in infrastructure systems and who are excited to work on cutting edge open-source systems (Cassandra, Redis, Hadoop, RabbitMQ, Zookeeper, Thrift, HDFS). Reporting to the VP of Engineering and working closely with an elite team of developers, product managers and operations engineers, you will apply elegant solutions to complicated problems.

Qualifications

Digg is looking for a Senior Web Application Developer with plenty of data-driven and large scale website development experience. You'll be working with some of the brightest minds in the web development, design and operations communities, on a variety of projects - adding new cool functionality to digg.com and scaling the site to meet our ever increasing traffic.

This person must be a team player and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that strives for excellence.

Lead direct sales of online advertising to East Coast clientele to meet Digg’s    revenue goals. Develop sales plans, metrics, goals, and revenue forecasts and budgets. Collaborate with internal stakeholders including ad operations, finance, product management, and business development to assure execution and optimization of commitments and unlock new opportunities. Manage the sales process including prospecting, the RFP process, inventory planning, campaign adjustments, and post-mortems. Develop capabilities to drive analysis on advertising results for internal, agency and client use. Create original ideas and solutions that balance the needs of the client while maintaining a world-class user experience.
