Louis C.K. makes his return to “Parks and Recreation” as Leslie’s ex in a funny episode that focuses on relationships and music. I wouldn’t slot “Dave Returns” into the top five of the season, but still we are treated to a show that is currently in the middle of a ridiculously awesome streak of producing great comedy.

“The Office” heads south to Florida as Dwight and his hand-picked office team prepare for their special project in Tallahassee. The return of Todd Packer and the sassy Nellie Bertam, last seen trying to score Michael Scott’s old job, provide a nice, comedic spark to an already funny episode. “Tallahassee” keeps the momentum going from last week’s equally strong episode.

Can Nicolas Cage keep the Ghost Rider going? When the first film hit, it opened to $45 Million around the same weekend in 2007. But the film was not all that well received. And then there’s last weekend’s big winner The Vow. The Valentine’s day is over, but the film is a monster hit. One wonders if they can find a way to make a sequel. And then there’s This Means War - which after The Vow‘s showing, looks like it came to the dance without a date. Interesting times.

Though Pixar are often considered the reigning champs of cinematic batting averages (they have one of the best records for quality), Studio Ghibli is their equal, which may explain why Pixar’s John Lasseter has shepherded their work into American theaters. This has everything to do with filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, whose work on films like My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away puts him in the pantheon with Walt Disney. The Secret World of Arrietty wasn’t directed by him (though he has a credit as its planner), but it falls in line with his whimsical children’s films.

Theoretically, McG‘s This Means War is a perfect twist on the romantic comedy. You’ve often got possible lovers fighting over one person, so why not have them be people who can actually fight? Reese Witherspoon stars as the girl stuck between two deep cover operatives (Tom Hardy, Chris Pine) in this surprisingly unpleasant riff on the cinematic romantic triangle.

One of our most highly anticipated films of the year reunites Brad Pitt with The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford director Andrew Dominik, and after the extended post-production schedule of their last film, it was hard to know how long the wait would be for their follow-up Cogan’s Trade. Wonder no more, The Weinstein Company has updated their schedule, and the film will be hitting theaters September 21. They’ve also changed the release dates for Butter and Scary Movie 5. Check it out…

In This Means War, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy fight over Reese Witherspoon. But for their big interview, it appears that Tom Hardy won, as Pine was called to the set of Star Trek 2. In his absence we had two of the three leads, comic relief Chelsea Handler, and the always eager to please director McG to talk about the film. Check it out…

With very, very ambiguous reasoning, Comedy Central has abruptly cancelled production for at least the next two episodes of The Colbert Report, the satirical news program hosted by Stephen Colbert, coming as fairly startling surprise, especially as the halting takes place in the middle of a very contentious Republican primary race, which is top fodder for the program.

Bad news for regular viewers of the Syfy channel (there are viewers of Syfy, right? Those exist?), as it was announced on Wednesday night that Grant Wilson, co-lead investigator of Syfy’s “documentary†series Ghost Hunters, will be departing the show.
